Going Forward

McDaniel gets interviewed before the half and says they have to get a few things cleaned up. Ok bro you're gonna do that in 15 minutes?? This regime is a joke it's over. Weaver ain't a d coordinator, Mike isn't a hc or called plays before. Grier has failed up no way he should be in this job a second longer.

We need a polar opposite of McDaniel, Vrabel is the guy. Can Ross lure a new GM & Vrabel and give them carte blanche to blow torch this org? Chances are low Ross seems pretty woke, he's in is 80s as long as he's making attractions around the stadium bigger he may not GAF about the football operation.
The question is will Ross

Sieler is 29 will be in his 30s and out of prime. Jonnu is 29 will be in his 30s and out of his prime. Waddle disappears for long stretches and has unreliable hands and frankly I'm tired of smurf WRs. Can we please get someone whose height starts with a 6.
I get what you are saying about Waddle but he showed some dog in him as a rookie when playing more slot roles. I think he would still be a very good asset in that situation. Put bigger guys on the edges and let Waddle work on the nickle guys. Simular to how we are finally using Jonnu.

The season is over, not mathematically but we all know and have seen this movie before.

I’m done picking apart Tua because we all know what he is and there’s nothing more to say. He’s accurate but he’s not clutch. And that’s that.

He have much bigger problems starting with Grier and McD. These guys gotta go, they just don’t understand fundamental football. This team is not physical and I’ve said a million times on here that you can’t win late in the season being a finesse team. I’ve said I long for the days of the Parcells Giants era of a strong physical defense, physical maulers on the Oline creating running lanes, and clean efficient QB play all controlling the time of possession.

Too many penalties, soft soft tackling and lack of awareness of not being mentally prepared has done this team in. This is who we are. And Shame on McD for having one playbook that only Tua can run. If you know that then have a plan for your backups to being able to run an offense. But nevermind the backups, that’s a whole other story.

Grier assembled this team but McD is also to blame because I really believe he’s really in Grier’s ear of what he wants and Grier appeases him. But both these guys just don’t understand fundamental football.
Everyone was sucking off our defense this year but we saw the cracks forming against the Raiders and NE and it was just a matter of time it showed against a solid team.

The cold had zero effect on us, we are just a weak minded team and weak physically.

Season needs to play out of which players are important to us. Good riddance Holland, not paying him, but yet Grier controls that aspect. Bye Armstead and almost everyone else on the Oline.

I hate going with new regimes every three years but this one ain’t ever gonna happen

Like I said, the remainder of the season is to see who we keep going forward, which ain’t gonna be many of them but also what contracts we can unload
It’s the same old story in the trenches- that’s what lost us this game… McD and Tua are tied together- both ain’t going anywhere- FIX THE OLINE- Grier should lose his job for this alone… we need stronger, competent guards- fix the line and the offense will be fine…. Sh1t should’ve been better addressed in the last 2 offseasons

I think McDaniels is a talented offensive mind but sadly he just wasn't ready to be a HC. The tone for this game got set early on for me with penalties, mental mistakes, and just not being focused. Guys were getting in fights early.

Its sad to me because I actually do think there is a lot of talent on this team. But offensively we arent physical enough to be a consistent run threat, and we haven't developed enough counters in the passing game. Which seems odd to me. With Tua's accuracy, all the speed we have, a very good receiving RB, and now TE who can work the middle we just should be more productive.

For all of McDaniel's time here its just seemed like the sum has worked out to be less than its parts. And that really sucks, because I like the guy as a person.

I expect when he is fired he will go somewhere and be a top shelf OC. He will have learned things from failing here and if he could just focus on one side of the ball I expect he will do well.

One consistent issue we have had here with him calling plays is that they get in late and if adjustments have to be made at the line there isnt enough time. Perhaps some of that is on Tua not getting them lined up fast enough, but given the consistency of how often it happens it really makes me think the plays are coming in late. Happened again last night for a critical delay of game on a third down.

But for those saying to blow it all up and start over.... We have locked up a lot of guys with very large contracts. Tua is one of them and given the deal he is on he's all but untradable or cuttable.

The philosophical approach of McD's system is one where all of the stars have to aline, If they do we can put up 70 if they don't we can't punch it from the 1! This team failed to stay one step ahead of the league. In a pass happy NFL we are seeing teams dominate with strong running games to compliment vertical passing and McD thought he could run the ball with practice squad players at OG and inline TE. Losing A Jackson has just exposed how poor the OGs are without a dominant run blocking OT next to them. Ohh and the passing grades of all of our OLineman are misleading due to the fact Tua gets the ball out faster than any Qb in the league.

That's all good but we can't keep going like we are going unless your ok with no playoffs

At this point I have to agree.

Since the organization chooses to obscure who's responsible for what and hold them individually accountable, the only answer is to fire everyone and install a new regime. Hopefully one that features individuals who will stand up and own what the hell is going on.
I am disappointed, and I hope it doesn't come to that - but for my first time as a Dolphins fan, I can see that happening, with a positive attitude of course. - LOL - COL What a mess.

It has to come down to that if we want to contend

Was with you right up until the last paragraph.

You seem to be advocating delaying the inevitable.

I don't see the point. Blowing it up means pain for two years shedding salaries and eating dead money, but at least you get the ball rolling and the books are clear.

Remember this though - balls roll downhill. - LOL

Agree with OP completely. Only thing I would add is a special mention of Weaver being a complete fraud.
