Hello fellow Fin Fan Brothers! I am from the Tampa Area and have been a fan for 26 years and Sunday will be my first time being able to see my Dolphins live at home. Can't wait to see HRS!

My friend has a connection with the VP of Community outreach and was able to get us 4 tickets for free so you can imagine Im super hyped!

My issue is I don't know where I should stay. We are going to go to South Beach in the morning and then head to a hotel or Air BNB. Would you guys have any suggestions of where we should stay?

We arent looking to spend too much on the room and we don't even know what area is best. We would prefer a managable drive in the morning to the game and a place that has some cool bars or resturants nearby(15 mins or so) if possible.

And finally I was wondering if you knew of (or are participating in) any tailgates that welcome Jets fans? Unfortunately one of the people my friend invited is a jets fan . Lol He's good people though. We are just a group of 4 cool people looking to have fun and drink some beer !

Here's to hoping my inaugural game ends with an Ass Kicking of the damn Jets!!! :jetssuck:fh

THANKS AHEAD OF TIME!!!

Also if anyone knows of any reasonable cant miss places for lunch or dinner that would be great too!

I cant really help you on where to stay as I am from out of town as well, but a few member from the forum put together a pretty sweet tailgate every home game. If it's something that interests you just make sure to post that you plan on attending and how many people are going.

Thanks man!! I posted on the thread. Thats exactly what I was needing as far as tailgates!

Cheaper to stay in Fort Lauderdale or Hollywood IMO. I’ve heard Joe’s Stone Crab is the ****. Shula’s is also a place I’ve heard is money.

You've got expensive taste, my friend. Those two are heavy on the wallet.

!

Miami traffic doesn't allow for a 15 minute drive anywhere so make sure to give yourself at the very least a 30 min buffer when considering time.

It takes me 10 minutes to make a turn out of my street and I live in Westchester (suburbs).

Lol ok good to know. Should I be looking more sunny isles or hollywood. Or maybe just stay in Miami and drive north to Miami Gardens?

if the Dolphins game is the ulltimate destination (no other excursions) then you should stay in Ft Lauderdale, Hollywood, Hallandale, Golden Beeach area and then westward. Maybye Aventura area as well. it is quite a hike from Miami Beach (unless you are in the far north area of Miami Beach). Anything south of Bal Harbour I don't recomend for the Dolphins game.

Hollywood Beach and Fort Lauderdale Beach have plenty of watering places and food within walking distance. In addition Hollywood Beach is a short ride away from Hollywood Beach Bld/Young Circle. That entire area is now a night area (restaurants and bars).
In addition to walking distance in Fort Lauderdale Beach you have a short ride to Las Olas Blvd with lots of restaurants and bars (incl Ameerican Social a favorite hangout amongst Dolphins players on their days off) or 2nd Avenue/Downtown Fort Lauderdale with restaurants, bars and 4 or 5 Night Clubs.

We stay at the Stadium Hotel right beside the stadium itself. Its always full of fans and they have shuttle to take you to and from the game. I would highly recommend it.

Hey,

I have visited Miami several times and stayed in various places and my favourite without doubt was Brickell. I stayed in an Air BnB high rise apartment - there was a rooftop pool, on one side you had fantastic views across the city with the everglades in the distance, and on the other was the skyscrapers and sea.

The main thing I liked about Brickell was it felt extremely safe to be walking around late at night. The architecture was awesome and there are some seriously cool restraunts and bars.

I have stayed on South Beach and found it to be over priced and over hyped.

Regards

If your final destination is the game... bring lots of anti depressants.

As far as destinations and tailgating make sure you get with phins4ever. You will be treated well.

Miami boy here. You should definitely try to rent a place in Hollywood. Try the Western Diplomat as a place to stay in if you want to show your people a good time.

The hotel is beautiful, on the beach, and not far from the stadium, with plenty of high class, and even affordable places to eat.

I agree that staying in South Beach isnt advisable due to the traffic and would prob ably take you close to an hour to get there during gameday.

Two of THE BEST places to eat in South Beach/Miami Lakes!! In fact I have my name up on the wall at Shula's for devouring their 48oz. Porterhouse + Appetizer and dessert.....LOL And Joe's is an institution. Situated on the corner deep in the heart of South Beach be prepared to grease the maître D $10 for each one of you in the party otherwise your wait for a table can be substantial......Enjoy the game..........

Plus if you want to stay where all of the camera shots come from on TV during game day the you DO want to stay in South Beach, in particular on Ocean Drive. Nothing like some shucked clams and a ****tail sitting on the sidewalk of the Clevelander Hotel!!!!!! Just prepare yourself extra time to get to the game, which should be no big deal right? I mean come on you are in Miami Beach for heaven's sake.........Just my 2 Cents........
