Gonzo to enter NFL Draft.

I agree with the 1st rd pick in Patrick Willis. But I think we need some more help on defence with the 2nd rd pick, and if by chance he is still available them get him with the 3rd.

I would take him in the 3rd round, but nothing earlier than that. Willis sounds good and then maybe a CB like Hughes or Ross in the 2nd. I would take Gonzalez in the 3rd.

Gonzo is a 3rd round, 4th round project. He's physically limited but he's a good worker.

He'd be about the 8th-9th best receiver in this years draft, IMO

Pat Willis is ILB why him?

We already have Crowder as ILB playing out of position on outside. Why Willis as another ILB asking him to play outside?

We need a true OLB/DE opposite JT.

for real, why the hell would we want 3 ILB on the field?

Are there any other OLB/DE's worth taking at #9? Gaines Adams will probably be gone and Quentin Moses can be incosistant at times. I'd be okay with either Adams, Moses, or Willis.

There very well may not be, but you dont force yourself into taking a guy @9 and force him into a position he isnt suited for.

Whether we go O-side or D-side at #9 (presuming we stay there) to much true natural talent exists (CB, S, WR, QB) to help us without having to force this move from a OLB/DE need with an ILB guy.

Prehaps, we can solve OLB/DE via FA prior to the draft or we use a different round if one doesnt present itself to us at #9.

Why should we draft defense in the 1st round when our offense is what needs more help!? Last I remember, our defense is ranked 4th!

Zach is getting old why not get Willis, I'm sure he could play any LB position

Imagine

Crowder- Zach- Willis

I think O will be addressed this draft at least 3 out of the 6 picks should be O-side. Round 7 could make it 4 out of 6 picks. However, our pass defense was not a strength this year. From week 1 thru week 17 it was our weakest aspect of our D - communication and assignment coverage errors. We dropped to many potential INTs.

Our D could really dominate across the board if we strenghten our pass coverage allowing our DL more time to dominate, get pressure. Bottomline, our secondary pass coverage guys need additional talent to increase turnovers with improved play.

That said, yes, FA could change our Draft strategy for round 1. I think we target and sign 2 UFA's. CB and OLB/DE guy are the best chances but still long-shots to sign them!

Crowder was selected as Zach's replacement. Folks think Crowder isnt consistantly dominant playing out of position but cant wait to see him at the MIKE.

Why pick Willis and know he is your OLB when he has never done it? Just to many other areas of solid solutions and perfect fits with #9 to go with mismatch ILB and ask him to play OLB/DE hybrid.

Well if Brohm declares and enters the draft then I think we go with Brohm.
