Man I hope this kid doesn't have issues being away from home. Reading that gave me a little concern for his mindset. Kid couldn't do anything away from home and doesn't seem to be able to fly down for a press conference without everyone coming with him.

Ross needs to move them all down here if that's the case and put them up in one of his buildings.

Same here, was thinking about posting it myself. I LOVE this guy so far from what i'm hearing. Head is on straight, no-nonsense kinda guy. Seems like a perfect fit for this team and cast of characters we have.

Gosh darn i'm excited for the 2015 season!

Valid point, but I think it's a good thing he wants his family with him. I'd be more concerned if he couldn't wait to get away from them, which was the case with me when i left home, so i could party like a rock star. Nah, not worried about that myself, but i can understand your concern for sure.
 
While I wouldn't necessarily bet on it, it isn't ridiculous to think that Parker could end up the most accomplished player in this draft. He seems like a humble, hard working young man.
 
I like guys who "watch spongebob". They're the guys who can find fun peace and tranquility in the little things in life without having to go party and drink and surround themselves with an entourage .
 
Parker did all of his pre-draft training down in south Florida. He's got no problem being away from family for extended periods.

Read that he had been training down here for a month or so before the combine and fell in love with the area. He really likes Miami...plus all the stories that Lamar Thomas put in his head probably helps the situation. I'm sure his family will be moving down here soon enough. I wouldn't worry about him being homesick.
 
I like his mindset, my only concern would be how he handles fame. Reminds me a bit of Ricky - he was a beast on the field but couldn't handle the limelight at first. I hope that doesn't affect Parker in the same way.

A note to super fans, if you see Parker out in public, please don't bother him.
 
Man I would love for my concern to be way off base. I really like players that are humble and just answer the bell for the love of the game. He could be really special for us and I am looking forward to it.
 
these are the articles i love to see. great kid it seems... and he will meet and have some good people around in Miami that hopefully can become his family as well away from home!!! thats what this off season has kind of seemed to be actually occurring this year, for once... maybe a positive more together locker room finally 2015!!!

all in all he seems like he has a good positive head moving forward, bring him in get him developing and working... his family seems like they will always be there for him and in contact.

even Cooper and White all seem more intraverted, shier, and just great heads that will work and thrive in the NFL... good kids, and cant wait to see them in action on the field!!!


---- and I totally agree with comments on Spongebob.... it actually does show a fun personality, and one of my hardest working Lacrosse players that started only playing 3 years ago and is literally now dominating and starting over many, is a HUGE Spongebob watcher... lol. correlations to hard working fun athletes???
 
We didn't just draft Parker, we drafted the Parker family. Devante Parker and his family will give us everything they have, I promise you that. I think Devante Parker is someone you're going to enjoy watching play for a long, long time as a Miami Dolphin.

Ok, ok... All joking aside, I'm liking this pick more and more. Nothing wrong with being on the quieter side off the field.
