hey i've been lurking around this site but i don't post much
i post on the colts board

but... i'll be rooting for you guys hard to overtake the pats this year

i still think you can do it
you guys can definitely take them at home, and i bet they lose in NO


do you guys think there's a realistic chance the dolphins will win the division?
 
There is a very slim chance. We've caught a bad case of the injury bug this year. There is some hope though.
 
yea RB was a huge loss but you guys still have a more favorable schedule

i think buffalo is due for a win against them, haven't done it since 2003

I think the Jets have a better chance of beating them than New Orleans does. I think New England will embarass New Orleans.
 
I hope Pats can fall apart. I would hope that the Jets and Saints can beat them. Hard to root for the jets.

I disagree I think New Orleans has been sleep walking the last few weeks, nothing like a big game to wake a team up. I think Brees could put up over 400 yards easy against that New England secondary. I'm sure the patriots will score their share of points but the Saints should be back to scoring 40+ points in that game.

New Orleans' secondary is a bit banged up now.. And the Pats have the 7th ranked pass defense. The Pats defense is ranked 3rd overall in pts allowed and 8th in yards allowed.

New Orleans on the other hand has the 19th ranked pass defense, 17th in pts allowed, and 21st in yards allowed (most of that ranking was accumulated before the injuries to their secondary)

Overtake? U know we are the division champs right? They have to overtake us.

Winning the division? I think we may have too many injuries . . . I mean losing Brown and now Ferguson . . . plus the Oline is nicked up . . . it is going to be a struggle for sure. I have said from the beginning, this team healthy, can play with ANYBODY and beat ANYBODY. We had the Colts on the ropes, we had the Saints teetering a bit . . . we honestly haven't played a bad game since week 3, when we lost Pennington. Dolphins have one of those schedules that worry me . . . we potentially can be favorite in most of the games, but when I see Houston, Tennessee, Jacksonville . . . that is no joke. Plus ending with the Steelers, who may need that game to get in the playoffs. Ugh.

Honestly, I want us to beat Buffalo next week, and hopefully New England loses one of its next 2 . . . and I just want to go in, Sunday night, in our house . . . and beat New England to take the division lead. I still say we need to win the division to make the playoffs.
 
Ummm, fellas...going to go out on a limb and say that the only reason the OP wants us to win the division is because the Pats are the last team the Colts want to see in the postseason.

Well the Pats are ahead of us and already beat us once. So we have to overtake their lead in the division.

that's what the OP meant.

Impressive season stats for the Pats defense. Problem is last time they played a team with a top notch QB, despite the fact that his receivers had the ginns for much of the first half he still was able to throw for over 300 on them and put up 35 points.

Brees and the New Orleans offense is just as good if not better than the Colts, and New Orleans has a much better running game. I stand by my statement, the Saints are going to torch that Patriots defense and put up over 40 points.

Stats are great, one fact is that the Patriots have only played an offense in the top 10 once this year and in that game even their coach knew they couldn't stop it when it counted.

The Saints won't be able to stop the Patriots passing game either, no doubt. Just think the Patriots defense will have a harder time stopping the Saints.
