Miami is the biggest week 1 dog, currently.

Vegasinsider.com Miami -10

Footballlocks.com Miami -8

The Seahawks will start first-round pick Germain Ifedi at guard.
J'Marcus Webb is penciled in as Seattle's right tackle, with Garry Gilliam on the left side. Justin Britt, Ifedi, Rees Odhiambo, and Mark Glowinski look like the top contenders for two guard openings with Patrick Lewis penciled in at center. Even after GM John Schneider spent three picks on offensive linemen, Seattle's line appears likely to remain one of the worst in the league.

What initially appeared as detriment in scheduling week 1 at Seattle and week 2 at New England is a huge bonus. Getting this trip out of the way before the heart of the season even starts is best case scenario when you figure Brady will miss that second game in what appeared to be a brutal start to the season.

Seattle hasn't gotten off to hot starts recently.

Good luck with that OL Seattle. Wait til you see ours.

I don't mean to poke the bear but....

Poke.

FWIW, Tom Cable and coaches had Seattle's o-line playing very well down the second half stretch of last season as they gelled.

That said, one could assume that with new additions up front offensively the Seahawks may not play with the same unity that helped propel them to the playoffs. On the same hand, it would be foolish to assume that the Dolphins will not experience the same communication and camaraderie issues being that they are in a very similar situation in an attempt to find their best starting five.

From my understanding Seattle is considered to have had one of the better drafts in the league. Not that it matters much, as they are so talented and deep they likely won't be forced to start many rookies.

As an aside, i'm baffled by this belief that our line is going to automatically become an impenetrable wall of awesome. I've heard all of this before: "The Pouncey selection has secured the line!", "The Albert signing fixed our line!", "Plugging James in will keep Tannehill alive, no more excuses!". All other things being equal(they build a chemistry, our guard position gets un****ed, no one gets suspended, etc), why should we assume Branden Albert is going to remain healthy? He hasn't played a full 16 game schedule since 2011. Hes only gotten older and more beaten up since then. The current plan seems to be plugging Dallas Thomas back in at guard if someone goes down...if we don't start him to begin with.

Seattle has a nasty defensive line that makes life easier for their nasty defensive backfield. Throwing it is going to be a pain in the ass and our running game remains a work in progress. Add to that they are going to be motivated to erase last years playoff loss and will be playing at their notoriously difficult home field. Want to feel confident against New England? That i get. Seattle? Going to remain skeptical.

I am just super confident at this point. I never create topics but after I saw those week 1 lines I couldn't help but get a bit agitated.

There is a lot of work to be done, yes, but I don't see any reason why Tannehill won't improve to 2-0 against Russell Wilson.

I mean you always have to give Wilson his due. The guy can make something out of nothing better than anyone. I do think that "dynasty" peaked though.

Out of all teams that shouldn't be allowed to talk trash we should be #1 on that list.
Remember where that got us last offseason? Ugh... how embarrassing...
Seattle is a first class organization and they will be prepared for us week 1, guaranteed.

If we can win that game on the road to start the season , that would set a great tone for the rest of the season and maybe get guys to fully commit and beleive in Gase . It's not a must win game but it would be an amazing start to the season for sure

The Seahawks are 9-5 in September since 2012 (we are 7-8). Thats not exactly slow. They only appear to start slow because they finish so strong, as the 15-3 December record can attest.

They are also 27-5 at home...

Just to clarify, examples of individual sports include tennis, track & field, golf, boxing, swimming, gymnastics, skiing, bowling, wrestling, powerlifting, figure skating, speed skating, diving, mixed martial arts, table tennis, racquetball, badminton, archery, cycling, surfing and snowboarding.

Unless Tannehill and Wilson plan on competing against each other in these events such "statistics' are completely worthless. Football is the ultimate team sport.

Oh I am aware. That remark about going 2-0 against Wilson was more a statement to the tune that Tannehill belongs in the conversation when examining talented your QBs.

He deserves to be talked about as more than an after thought. The kid has paid his dues and he's about to make the rest of the league pay theirs.

Tannehill has been given what he deserves, a body guard.
