Most of the post I've read on here is filled with excuses...
The simple fact is the Falcons thoroughly whipped the Dolphins today.

Yes, your run D was stellar, but we consistently burned you in the passing game.
Our D was whipping your O Line most of the day producing sacks and turnovers and when you did make a play, our Line-Backers layed the hit with force....creating a few more.
Some have said.....you coulda, woulda, shoulda scored or even won today....
CMON, We gave you 7 points of missed field-goals and an extra point.

Good job with the fan support....you showed what loyal fans are all about.

Lets be clear if we completed every pass, made every tackle and never made a mistake we would have won. I think its quite pompous that Atlanta actually thinks they won today's game because they outplayed us. Take away our 10 turnovers and badly overthrown and underthrown passes and we blow your team away. And if we had ran the unstoppable wildcat all game we might have won by 100.

Re-watch the game, your offense started at mid field on average thanks to our mistakes. Bottom line we don't fumble, we don't lose. Atlanta is a nice team and sqeaked out a home win, that's about it.

You deserve credit for winning BUT

when u get the ball 2 or 3 times in the redzone it is pretty easy to win the game. When at least two of those turnovers came while we were enroute to the end zone or at least a field goal your odds of winning are even better.

your pass game was nothing special. you converted some big long 3rd downs but that amounted to about 10 points at the most. most of your points came off turn overs and ball placement at teh 20-30 yard line of the dolphins. We stopped your run game and we arent even supposed to be too great at it. theres no excuses - the bottom line is our O-line played like absolute crap. your d-line controled the line of scrimmage all day. that is giving credit where credit is due and that is why you got the win and no one is crying about it. Take what u learned from this game and hope atl expands on it.

Cmon guys, give atlanta credit, we fumbled because they caused the fumbles with big hits.
They outright kicked our ***. It happens. They are a very good team that was at home.
Congrats Atlanta. You deserve it. The play where Jake Long got schooled and overpowered says it all. I never thought the day when Jake Long gets literally run over would ever happen. We will still be a very good team this year and I fell sorry for having to play us next week. Indy will get crushed.

Thats the thing..... you cant say that...I'm a Falcon fan... I've been on this board and has shown nothing but respect on this board but i agree with the original poster..... We won that game..... Our Defense made the turnovers happen... It wasnt fluke turnovers..... Our guys made the turnovers, overthrown and underthrown passes happen...


If you want to use that excuse.... We could have scored well in the 30s.......

It wasnt like Fasano just drop the ball on his own..... A big hit cause the Turnovers...

At first while I was reading this I thought it was a little out of character for you but then I continued on and figured it out. I agree that the "if" talk is pretty weak.

Your analysis was pretty dead on. This was an Atlanta-controlled game in all facets except the running game and I wish more on these boards could see things the way you do. Especially at the pass defense, which pretty much let your guys move down the field at will. After a certain point, that became irrelevant because we were so far our of the game, or else it could have been worse.

Thanks dlockz for so long I thought you hated the fins, rofl. Is it just me or are more falcons fans posting on our boards more than any other fan ever? and its just 1 game in three years? How come if we won only ATL_FalconFan would of posted? Geez.

Atlanta deserves credit for taking advantage of our generosity, without it... may have been a different outcome. My concern is to look soooo bad. No imagination on O, no blocking, no big plays (see no blocking), no broken tackles ('cept Rickey), but most of all... no FIRE.

I give Atlanta props for wining this game. They fought hard, and deserved the victory. You have to admit that you played a great defense though. We just didn't bring anything on offense, or you could say that your d-line killed our offense. Either way, you guys did great. The turnovers were key to this game. If you look at the stats, they are pretty even everywhere else. Good game and beat everyone else in our division.
