I'm out
I have just read in the Palm Beach Post this morning that Travis Henry is extremely close to being traded to the Jags. Also, Donnie Abraham is retiring after starting every game for the Jets last year.

The RB one two punch will not be as potent in Buffalo. I was starting to worry about Mcgahee and Henry in the same backfield. Our run D was bad enough last year. Now it looks as if another good Rb is leaving the division. Yes!

Anyway, how does this potential move/moves effect us?

Not really sure it will affect us to greatly although I agree it's good to get him out of Buffalo so we only have to deal with Willis.

I tried to post a link but the PBP has not updated the NFL news wire on the site. However the article is found in the Sports section of the Palm Beach Post in todays edition. Anyway, how does this potential move/moves effect us?

Henry would have never suited up this year. If McGahee stays healthy, you'll still have plenty to worry about. He says he's 100% this year and has his speed back. He could easily be a top 5 back this year!
What's up with Ricky? Any news?

Very cool, but everybody expected Travis Henry to be traded. The likely hood of taking a snap as a Bill was always very low. I am glad to see Donnie Abraham out of the AFC East equasion.

Me too. The thing is you never know. Last year Ty Law said he would never wear a Patriot uniform again, then he signs with them. So it is still possible Henry was interested in Buffalo.

He is ready for camp! He is currently up to about 215lbs. He is on a very specific training and dieting regiment while practicing homeopathic and holistic medicine, he will be ready for camp! Now the front office just has to figure his pay.

I don;t anticipate them paying him as much as he expects to get.

I'm traditionally more of a "It's what we do, not what they do" kind of guy. But after last year I'll take good news where I can get it. :D

Donnie Abraham hasn't been good in years. I wish he kept playing to be honest!

Me neither. The league minimum sounds about right to me.

Donnie's retirement may not turn out to be a good thing after all. With Abraham retired, the Jets are catapulted in to the front of the pack interested in signing Ty Law. The only other team really considering Ty was Kansas City, but they don't have the money to sign him to a long term, nor will they be able to lure him into a one year with talks of superbowl runs.

IMO the news of Donnie retiring ups the chances of Ty becoming a Jet. They sort of have no other choices, their two starting CB's are ___ and ____. If you know their names offhand then I applaud you.

Plus what better "F*ck You" could Ty Law give to a New England team that wouldn't sign him than to sign withing the AFC East to a rival such as NY.

On the bright side, if the Jets do sign him they will have to pay a boatload, and thats never good for cap situations.

Ya, when he was in Tampa Bay he played well but after that I don't remember seeing him do much. I think he was on the Super Bowl squad.

Looks like it's going to be Henry to the Titans instead.
