Ok. Here's me and my usual gregarious self posting my goals for this week. Now, I know even though I SHOULD be a member of the Miami coaching staff, I'm not, so.....Take it for what it is....Inane rambleings of a fan.

*Ready?! O --- K!*

1. No stupid, staff level penalties. No 12 men on the field.

2. A more dynamic gameplan. I love 3 and outs as much as the next guy, but, I'd like to see Henning actually tossing in a first down pass every now and then when we actually do have the option of doing so.

3. No communications errors. At least look like you knew what you were or are supposed to do.

4. Stop the run with 7. Plug the rush lanes and shut down the Pats run with 7 guys so we can keep 2 deep and HOPEFULLY limit big plays.

5. Take at least 3 shots deep. I honestly don't care if they are all pick 6s. I just need to see Dan Henning prove to me he's willing to take a shot deep. Our WRs need to be able to get deep and open on a 7 step drop, bottom line, end of story.

In Summary; I've gotten past the whole winning loseing thing....mostly. :foundout: But what I want to see this week is a team ready to go hit somone in the mouth. I want to see a team, though, overmatched, never quit fighting and showing some heart. I want to be proud of this franchise this week.

Go get 'em fellahs. :hi5:

When you say stop the run with 7... does that include when the pats go 4 wide outs and all we got between Moss and the endzone is renaldo Hill?

I'm pretty sure I just threw up in my mouth a little.

For the common sense impared, I'll clarify;

I thought it was obvious I was talking about base packages. It wasn't and, that's on me. I really feel bad I wasn't able to communicate what I meant there. I mean, I really feel like a complete tool that I couldn't make some people undertand I was talking about base packages. I took it for granted that I was talking to some people that had some ability to think for themselves but, some can't. Thanks for pointing that out. You're the man. I appreciate your constructive addition to this thread. Thanks loads.

In 3/4/5 wide we obviously match up CBs on WRs in whatever defensive wizzardry Dan P. has on tap. We don't line up our base package with a 4 or 5 wide. Then, it goes to our front line to contain the 1 back or QB.

I hope that little misunderstanding is cleared up.

Its almost like we are playing scared of losing. Honestly how can we care anymore you're right we gotta open it up and play loose. we need to play like we want to win and that we aren't timid etc.

Simple fact is, we aren't going to win as much as people want.

However, that doesn't mean the team should stop trying. We need to open some things up, get our contributors rolling. I can't see how our offense will mesh together in game situations if they keep having to give up the ball.

We need to get in their face, control the clock, surprise them a bit. Even if we lose, let's see some life out of this team.

My goal is to not have our d-backs get killed by Randy Moss and Welker like last year.

I would like 2 see us run the 2 min offense with henne. kinda like arizona did with there qb last year. Pluse i like that Henne will through the ball 2 ted ginn.

Lighten up Goon. He's a rookie :sidelol:

Get over it folks Henne is not playing unless its a blowout either way.

As for this post, I think we have to take some chances down field, and I agree, even if it gets picked off. The line needs to give Penny 4 seconds to get it off down field. Pennington needs to read who is the wr single covered and put it out there a few times. I think Wilford can out jump and go over most CBs in this league.

We need to have Ginn go across the middle, if he wants to be a #1 that is what he is going to have to do. Pennington can make those throws, it was proven in the Jacksonville game. We need to stop the P%^#@ footing and make some plays on the ball. Take a hit, get up asking for more (Ginn).

I'll throw one in: do not give up quick strikes.

It's demoralizing. I expect our confidence going in to be strong on the surface but fragile underneath. We cannot allow a mentality of "here we go again" to set in.

Far better to make the pats dink & dunk their way down the field for a TD than a repeat of the Cards game. True, our D will get worn out if we let them do it too often, but in moderation we can afford it as long as we answer with dink & dunk TD drives of our own. Keep it close, pull it out at the end.

Go Fins.

Goal #1 Don't let the Patriots recievers catch a ball specifically #81
Goal #2 see #1
Goal #3 see #1
Goal #4 see #1
Goal #5 see #1
Goal #6 see #1

I'll throw in a key point:

Win the toss and elect to receive. On first down, throw the ball. THROW, THROW, THROW HENNING!! If we go run, run, pass, punt, look for the Pats to score quick. If we can work the ball downfield and score, maybe the D will get a boost.
