Gosselins 2nd Mock

The Huddle Report ranks Gosselin's predictive accuracy right up there in 08 and for a 3 year run so I'd put some credence in his mock.

I'd not be unhappy with Matthews.. he's a Parcells type LB, although would rather see a top 3 rated CB grabbed here. According to his draft, only Jenkins and Vontae will be out of play in the second round, so we'd still have a shot at a Smith, Butler, etc.

What I find most interesting is Curry leapfrogging Stafford and Jason Smith, ..and even more so Josh Freeman zooming up to be SF's 10 pick. Gotta wonder how closely Rich is plugged in to the powers-that-be to make such bold picks.

Regarding Aaron Curry:

There has also been something of a quiet drumbeat around the league that even though many teams have him rated right at the top of their boards, Wake Forest LB Aaron Curry may not necessarily be a top 5 pick at this month’s draft. Nothing wrong with Curry’s game or attitude; indeed, they’re both exemplary, however, Curry really isn’t going to rush the passer at the next level and therefore will play either MLB or on the strong side and neither is a highly-valued draft day position.

Barwin will be the pick.
He's a Parcells type player and won't be available in the 2nd round.
They will hope to draft Smith in the 2nd round.

Actually Gosselin wasn't the most accurate in 2008...not that it really matters.

If you look at the left side of this web page...you'll see a list of the 2008 mock draft results of the main draft people;

if you link to their source, the Huddle Report, it's the same as mine. In 08, his score corresponded to the 6th most accurate prognostication, and put him as 1 of 6 in a tie for 11th place (10 better scores than him), yet over a 3 year pd, he still ranks 1st (out of 47)... so he definitely carries some gravitas. You're right, it doesn't really matter but if he were a racehorse, his odds of winning would be right up there, over the last 3 years.

So in both of those mocks we take Connor Barwin and Clay Matthews over Everette Brown??

I would freak if that happened.

A couple things with Gosselins draft. I was surprised that he had Buffalo not taking an OT (Oher) with there #11 pick, especially after the Peters trade. He has the Eagles taking Oher with #21, which would be shocking since they just traded for Peters and signed Stacey Andrews to a big FA contract. Those to things really changed the draft. Should definitely change who drops to us @ #25.
