i have to give kudos to philbin for what he is going through and being able to keep it together. just the mere thought of losing your son and then go coach a playoff game and prepare for the interview of his life in a matter of a week. that takes a lot. recently, i had a really good friend lose his 25 year old son in a horrible car accident. its a nightmare. they say time will heal but that sting will never go away.
ive heard a lot of reports that he might not be ready to be a head coach right now. but philbin showing what he can deal with this past week , proves to me that he will be able to handle the requirements of the job that needs him right away. i still have my reservations on his coaching abilties but mentally i think he will be fine.
