After all the talk about him being lazy and not wanting to work hard in TC, he sure showed me a lot Saturday against the Bucs. Gotta love what we saw from this guy; 1-1/2 sacks and after only 3-4 practices with the team.

What do you guys think?

yeah i thought he looked really good plugged the middle up well and got some good push through the centre. i dont think he will give us that every week but still i am very happy with getting him

dude ....he played great against the bucs.....i hope he can be dominant like that throughout the season...if he can be? wow....he looked like a man amongst boys out there saturday night

It's been a while since I have seen a Miami DT look that good on the field. I love the way he grabbed Sims with one arm and threw him on his back like a stuffed animal. Can't wait to see him do that to Brady!!

there was a play where the bucs were running up the middle and there was a semi decent hole opened up...

i saw big daddy wilkinson turn his right arm into a club and he bashed it into the chest of the tampa RB and swallowed him up...great play...and of course not to mention the slamming of simms!

big daddy was a great signing...it gives us a lot of depth...traylor needs some help and he got it...it also gives us a lot of versatility up front as capers will use both the 4-3 and 3-4...it'll also help zach with another big guy up front...also, if big daddy gets pressure up the middle on passing downs,we are going to get to the qb more than last year when we had 49 sacks...

I see this pounding out to be more of Traylor helping Wilkinson out. I think Dan wins the starting position with Traylor spelling him.

i think Fred Evans looked like a starting caliber DT. i saw in the 3rd quarter when he came running out and slammed the RB to the ground, OMG i could feel that in my own chair.

Reminds me of 'ole Timbo with that size and number on his back. I miss him. :boohoo:

Big Daddy played great! We have one of the best Dlines in the league IMO.

Here's a little blurb by Peter King over at CNNSI about Big Daddy.

7. I think Dan Wilkinson has this system beat, doesn't he? He doesn't want to go through an arduous offseason program with the Lions and new coach Rod Marinelli, so he tells GM Matt Millen he's not with the program, and the Lions let him go. Wilkinson, 33, stays in shape but doesn't kill himself, and he knows he's not going to be in anyone's camp. He ends up signing last week with the Dolphins, a team that's a much more logical playoff pick than the Lions. So he misses 3½ weeks of training camp and he gets to play a prominent role with a good defense and on a team that finished the season on a six-game winning streak. Smart guy.
