He's one of the bright spots this year .

Yup. He had that ugly drop last week and people were killing him, but he's been really good outside of that. Very impressive young player.

how long is his contract?

when he learns the PP schemes he is a 3 down back/starter

I like his attitude and has some nice upside. Nice fireball TD today

He has a lot to make up for. That one last week was a huge drop...

He's not the greatest between the tackles, but on the outside and in the pass game he's been very useful.

Miller was superb today though. I'm surprised there isn't a thread about it. Lamar was the complete tailback today, impressed in all facets.

Miller played with heart. You could see it. I hope he's not hurt.

Made that one great catch in particular today.

Don't know if anyone mentioned it elsewhere, but in addition to having a very strong game both running and receiving, Lamar Miller did a nice job picking up one blitz. With all the problems our line has had, he's really turned in a pretty good year and has turned into an all-around back.

He's a good role player, but I don't see him as a starter. They barely treat Miller as a starter and obviously wanted a bigger back like Moreno. Both Miller and Williams are smaller guys with some speed and agility and they do run with a motor, but its frustrating to see the only RB's we have get brought down far too easily. They have nice 10 yards gains when a bigger back is more capable of not being brought down by indirect contact could be taking some of those to the house.

I like them both but it would really benefit the team to find someone who can fill the role that Moreno would have.

I think they wanted Moreno as much as anything for pass protection. I wouldn't be surprised if they accomplished that by Moreno giving Miller tips on how to do it.

wtf.JPG really? I think its about PP for a rookie(maybe Williams will never be mentally adept enough to learn the PP schemes, its impossible to know) but I think he has 3-down ability and I don't think he is a physically small

Throw the pads on, factor in play ability, and factor in strength, and both Williams and Miller play small. That's not really a knock on them, but if you can't see a difference between guys who are frequently tripped up by indirect contact and a guy who could carry and then break away from the arms of defensive linemen, I can't help you.

"Throw on the pads"........interesting....
