QB- B. Joey had a solid game. He managed the game very well, which is a credit to both JH and the coaching staff. He certainly has his flaws but it looks as though he is developping some maturity and, looking at where he was last year, that is significant improvement.
RB- B+. Morris had some big plays and was fighting all game. he also did a nice job blocking.
O-line. A-. I know there are those who will refuse to give this line credit but that was a heck of a job they did out there. 125+ yards rushing and only 1 sack allowed is impressive against a NE team that has piled up plent of sacks and that is one of the best against the run.
WR- B. Book made a 2 very nice grabs and ran hard on several plays. Chambers didn't get many looks.
D-line- A. They pressured Brady all game. I have loads of respect for him but it was nice to see him sulking at the end of the game. Our front four is probably the best in the game. JT, Traylor, Carter and Roth are getting a lot of credit-which they richly deserve- but Holiday is turning into a fine football player.
LBs- B+. Filled the gaps nicely and made some plays. Solid, very solid.
DBs- A-. They were able to dominate a much slower corps of WRs. Were a tremendous help in run support. Very physical today.
Special Teams. A-. D Jones finally returned to form. Great game. Coverage on punts was excellent and Dubya squared was electric. Mare did his job today. It's funny how a missed kick can turn things around. I wouldn't go so far as to say that MAre has cost us several games this season, but when you miss kicks it's a big boost for the other team.
Coaching-A+. The play calling was excellent. I know some would say it was a little conservative but I think it was the appropriate approach against the Pats. Under Wannstedt, the team never exhibited this kind of fight. The PAts had everything to gain, whereas the Dolphins are really just playing for pride. Saban has instilled a fighting mentality in this team, which bodes well for the future.
Overall- A+. The best player in football was kept to 12/25 for 78 yards. The defense shut out one of the best offenses in the league. Impressive win against a division rival.
