QB- B. Joey had a solid game. He managed the game very well, which is a credit to both JH and the coaching staff. He certainly has his flaws but it looks as though he is developping some maturity and, looking at where he was last year, that is significant improvement.

RB- B+. Morris had some big plays and was fighting all game. he also did a nice job blocking.

O-line. A-. I know there are those who will refuse to give this line credit but that was a heck of a job they did out there. 125+ yards rushing and only 1 sack allowed is impressive against a NE team that has piled up plent of sacks and that is one of the best against the run.

WR- B. Book made a 2 very nice grabs and ran hard on several plays. Chambers didn't get many looks.

D-line- A. They pressured Brady all game. I have loads of respect for him but it was nice to see him sulking at the end of the game. Our front four is probably the best in the game. JT, Traylor, Carter and Roth are getting a lot of credit-which they richly deserve- but Holiday is turning into a fine football player.

LBs- B+. Filled the gaps nicely and made some plays. Solid, very solid.

DBs- A-. They were able to dominate a much slower corps of WRs. Were a tremendous help in run support. Very physical today.

Special Teams. A-. D Jones finally returned to form. Great game. Coverage on punts was excellent and Dubya squared was electric. Mare did his job today. It's funny how a missed kick can turn things around. I wouldn't go so far as to say that MAre has cost us several games this season, but when you miss kicks it's a big boost for the other team.

Coaching-A+. The play calling was excellent. I know some would say it was a little conservative but I think it was the appropriate approach against the Pats. Under Wannstedt, the team never exhibited this kind of fight. The PAts had everything to gain, whereas the Dolphins are really just playing for pride. Saban has instilled a fighting mentality in this team, which bodes well for the future.

Overall- A+. The best player in football was kept to 12/25 for 78 yards. The defense shut out one of the best offenses in the league. Impressive win against a division rival.

I'd give Harrington an A- at least, this is a team that's just full of ballhawks when it comes to QB's. Plus, he had to rebound against a tough game against the Jags (did Peyton Manning fare any better this week? I don't think so) and do it against another tough D. That's resilience. He committed no turnovers, got a score, and kept us moving until our running game opened up. This game was a measuring stick from his first encounter and he's shown progress. If he can consistently do this from here on out, he's deserves a shot at keeping this job. We need to carry this momentum to next season and stop coming out of the blocks sluggish and all.

i disagree that brady is the best player in football. my vote goes to LT. i would also give an A to sammy morris, he rushed for 124 yards against a great defense and he's our backup. the rest of the evaluation was pretty good though.

LT is pretty special, no doubt about it. It's just that a Qb has, in most cases, a bigger impact on the game. They touch the ball almost every offensive play. D Brees is also having a career year but neither he nor LT ghave the won the big one, and Brady has done it "thrice".
He is Mr. Clutch-except for the last few games he has played against Miami.

hey PhinFan why does Holliday get not respect in that d-line catagory that guy is our 2nd starting DT!!!
and a beast at that!!

IMO an A is way too generous. His final stats look good bc he had a big final 10 minutes of the game whe the Patriots D was getting pretty tired. Prior to that his stats were 17 rushes for 44 yards which is when this game was really being decided. Not much help from the running game until after that.

Given that Harrington was without the services of Brown again I thought he managed an excellent game and is deserving of at least an A-.

As for the receivers getting a B, I think you could probably break that down to Chambers getting a C (only bc of his blocking) and Booker deserving an A.

I agree. When I noted that he doesn't get much credit, I meant from the media and football folk. My point was that he deserves credit, and a lot of it.
When he came to Miami from KC there was a lot of talk about him not being a hard worker and that he had failed to live up to his potential. He has blossomed in Miami. True, he is playing with JT, who makes everyone else look better, but one could argue that his play has allowed JT to have the monster season he is currently enjoying.
Sorry for the confusion. I'm a big fan of Holliday.

A little tough on Sammy don't you think?? The Patriots came into the game with one of the best rush D's in the game, and Sammy had a career day on them. His performance warrants at least an A-.

I would give Sammy an A- but otherwise good analysis. He wore down their run D and finally broke the big one, deserves more credit for that.
