Mike Wallace, Dolphins wide receiver
I know both [Martin and Incognito] personally. I like both of them. I love Richie. I think he's a great guy. I don't think he was out of hand. I have a lot of respect for Richie. I wish he was here.

Karlos Dansby, Cardinals linebacker, former Incognito and Martin teammate:
Richie was a down-to-earth guy. I hate all this came out about him. It’s really attacking his character. I hope Martin doesn’t have any backlash from this from the rest of his teammates.

That is a good statement, he didn't throw Martin under the bus but just spoke about how he loves Incognito the teammate. The only people that could have any problem with what he said are those that are unfamiliar with the NFL and it's players or those with an ax to grind about ritchie using the Nword and why didn't Wallace get pissed at him for using it.

Just saw Brandon Marshall talking about this on NFL network, boy was I wrong about him. He came across as even headed and well spoken and honest. I miss him more now.

Has there been any Dolphins player that publicly took Martin's side? Seems like Jonathan is all alone in this.

People don't want quitters working with them. As much as a jerk Incognito can be and as dumb as his comments on that voicemail, he never gave up on the team.

It comes down to one thing.. who is going to help you win the most.

Well in reality it doesnt matter what side the players are taking if MArtin is the one claiming he was bullied. Im sure many of the kids in school that are bullied are among the least popular

Well neither player has helped us win much

It's instructive to those with open minds which folks have drawn their line deep in the sand, continue to reject, rationalize away or deflect conflicting in-person pro-Incog evidence in favor of an inflexible convenient and wishful narrative reflecting their philosophical issues with the franchise. Just sayin'

That was a well thought out and very nicely written piece. I feel a little ridiculous getting excited over a good piece of sportswriting, but it really is rare to see.

fact is, whatever went down, martin walked away and Richie didn't. I can see where it'd be easier for the locker room to support the guy who didn't walk.

Rolling pure gold, Vaark.

Keep rollin' bro. Eventually this has to be about THE TRUTH and not some pansy-flavored media narrative.

Another thing that I haven't seen someone talk about...

IT COULD NOT BE MARTIN fanning the flames.

It could be his PARENTS fanning the flames -- releasing VM to media, etc. Martin could be conflicted about the whole thing, not wanting to make as big a deal, dealing w. other issues (read: maybe addictions, self-medicating for mental issues, etc.) only to have his parents come along, take things in hand, putting match to a pint of gasoline while throwing ten gallons of gas on the fire...

Martin could not be behind the release of stuff. Could be mommy and daddy trying to get the best deal for him possible.

I concur, one of the best written articles I've read.

I saw that too. He was very level headed and extremely we'll spoken

It's not looking good for Martin.
