"As they ready for their second season, Davis and Smith have a chance to be one of the next really good corner duos. Miami had one a few years ago in Patrick Surtain and Sam Madison, and these two have that type of ability.
If they didn't start as rookies, we would have no idea if that were the case. But more and more rookie corners are playing right away."

Great article. These 2 are going to be special and anchor our secondary for years. Definatley the next Madison & Surtain IMO. Now just imagine how nasty our whole secondary could be if Rashed Jones and Chris Clemens come on and show us something. That is scary to think how good our secondary could be.

Very good read.

If Will Allen does make a full comeback at his age and win one side, Sean Smith again IMO, will win the other side. V.Davis made more "Big Plays" last year but also gave up more bad plays.

Vontae Davis got a year smarter but Sean Smith got a year smarter and stronger.

But I think Will Allen working the slot is best for all.

Whatever happens that year will turn out to be a good draft (even WITH P.White and P.Turner).

Am I the only one who finds it funny that a staff known for their front seven theories and draft picks . . . potentially may have hit on both of their future CB's, their FS (Clemmons) and their future SS (Jones) in the span of 2 drafts. Obviously early, but hats off to them if Davis, Smith and Clemmons all start and have success this year and when Bell retires or is cut or whatever, Jones takes over and has success.

That kind of **** makes you forget about some of the Gerbil and Wilford whiffs we have seen.
