on www.nfl.com mayok talks about him and compares him too roethlisberger with video clips. at first i thought this was wrong cause joe flacco reminds me of him more than anything... but i think everyone should check out this clip. i am not all for drafting him, i actually would have hated the move. but after seeing this clip mayok having him as his number 1 overall player, i think he should atleast be considered. watch the clip...thoughts?
 
Some people labeled Matt Ryan as a slow and immobile statue for a QB and that's NOT the case. He may not have the scrambling ability of a Michael Vick but he can still make plays with his legs.
 
i agree.... after watchin that tape he really does make plays with his legs. and most of the time its just to buy time for his receivers. i like the style he plays with and i couldnt be upset if miami takes him, assuming they arent able to trade down

I watched the video and he does look pretty good but still i'm not sure if miami should take him when we have Beck, but if he turns out to be as good as Roethlisberger then we have to really consider him.
 
Mike Mayock and Mel Kipers hyping up Ryan is a good thing .

Hopefully it will reach a fever pitch around draft time and we can get some good value out of that first pick which looked liked no one wanted up to now.
 
First tape I've seen on him. Anyone know of any injuries during college? Also, wow...MCFadden out of the top 20?!?
 
The more they hype him, the better chance someone wanting to trade for him. That's better for us than taking Ryan.

The only injury I can think of is the broken bone in his foot that caused him to miss one game his junior year.

It is that time of year. Last year Brady Quinn was still the best QB until after the Senior Bowl. Around the time every year the guys who have been considered the top guys get bumped down. It's almost like they do it on purpose :). Now we need Atlanta to get screwed on the coin toss and end up at #4, or #5. Then we may have something.

Brady Quinn stopped being the best QB for the 2007 NFL Draft when JaMarcus Russell declared himself eligible for the draft. Quinn's performance in the 2007 Sugar Bowl cost him big time.
 
I do think ryan will be a good QB and maybe even a very good one.... but you have to keep in mind that mayok is biased.... he is a Boston college Grad.. he has been talking about him all season long
