Indulge me for a moment, if you will, Minnesota Vikings fans.
Let's do a little visualization, shall we?
Try and picture, in your mind's eye, a quarterback. Not just any quarterback, but a 6-foot-4, 270-pound monster who is faster than a running back, yet is also one of the most accurate passers in the league.
Can you see him?
Shedding smaller - yes, smaller - defensive ends; running over defenseless cornerbacks and threading passes into tight coverage and over the top of helpless secondaries.

hey can you post a link so we can see the whole article

Interesting article it does make you wonder what some fans were thinking. I do recall alot of unnesscary criticism about culpeppers play.

all that matters now is that the Fins have one of the better QB's in the game and one of the biggest and fiercest competitors that sets foot on the grid-iron. Those vike fans will not be happy when they see what culpepper brings home to miami:dolphins:

Beautiful article. That guy said everything I've been trying to say for a long time about this Culpepper situation...and he said it beautifully. Some people have had the gall to call me a jerk or other names for bringing race into the issue, but it BELONGS THERE.

Seriously...the fact that Minnesota fans would never embrace Culpepper is simply stunning. I'm glad Miami fans aren't as closed-minded.

Awesome article, Minesota made a huge mistake,Like they say You dont know what you got till its gone.

not sure how much of a factor race played, but fans deffinetly did not make enough of a fuss about giving away a caliber player like culpepper for only a second round pick. does anyone else think that its REALLY wierd that no other team in the NFL felt it was worth giving up a first rounder for him? like arizona or detroit?

That article is so true. If it wasn't race the fans still never appreciated him for some reason. The idiots got rid of two of the best players in the NFL. I'm stoked to see how our offense is this year.

they drafted a center that prolly wont make the team

I lived in MN for about 6 yrs and had the opportunity to watch Culpepper play for the Vikings. I always felt Viking fans didnt truly realize what they had with him. He could throw 4 TDs and they would say he had an "ok" game. Struggle the next week and they were calling for his head. They actually wanted Frerotte to start over him lol. I'm not sure if race was a factor, although it could have been, but for some reason... a majority of Viking fans did not embrace him. I am hoping he comes here and lights up the scoreboards for Miami so I can call some friends back in MN and rub it in hardcore lol.

Nicely said CK, I agree with you 100%. I never did understand why they were so quick to jump all over Daunte in Minnesota.

I can actully say Daunte is a great QB and it isn't homerism because I used to watch him play for the Vikes and I would think it. Usually when a team gets a great player like that, he never leaves so I never thought it was possible for us to acquire, for a 2nd rounder nonetheless. He can do some amazing things with both his arm and legs. The single stat that killed us the most last year was Frerotte's completion percentage. So what better than to go out and get the NFLs most accurate passer of all time statistcally?

Time and time again I hear people say that Daunte can't read defenses and makes too many bad decisions. Well if this is true, then why does he have one of the best ratings ever and the highest comp. %? Hey, if Daunte can't read a defense, but still tosses 30 TDs and 3500 yards, I''ll take him.
