Well, this is a great fear I have right now....But since in 2010, there will be no salary cap, maybe Ronnie will come back..

Ronnie is the Wildcat and a big part of the offense.....But we might spend money on a #1 receiver, ILB, or a Safety.

-I'm just not sure about his future and with the Trifecta's habit for not spending big money ( #1 receiver) ..I'm wondering if Ronnie may have played his last game with the Fins..

Opinions ???

I think this injury only helps keep Ronnie's asking price down in the 'realistic' level.

Tuna & Co. will have a lot more bargaining power than they would have had Ronnie finished out this season with 1000+ rushing yards and 15+ TD's.

Good chance your right, durability has been a past issue with him and I don't see Bill throwing big contract money at him. In Brown's defense this should be his big money contract and must look to make that happen. This one is tough.

Unless any of you have M.D.'s and work for the Phins I think this is all just speculation.

If there is no CBA, then Ronnie is under contract for 5 mill in 2010

Slosh is exactly right. Armando Salguero wrote about this back in August and got quotes from Ronnie himself on the issue:
"The way it works," Brown told me, "is if they reach a new agreement, this is my last season under contract and I become a free agent. If they don't come to an agreement for 2010, I'm under contract to the Dolphins for another year. I have to play another year under the old contract because it becomes a six-year contract."

IMO, this changes nothing unless it's a serious problem that will never go away...this FO will not break the bank to keep Ronnie even if he was healthy. He will get a fair contract and Ronnie will have to decide if he wants more money to play somewhere else of take a very good contract and stay at home.

Hes done, hes never played a whole year... I love the guy, I really do, but RB is the easiest position to fill on a team...

The league will not have a new CBA in place by March, so Ronnie will be a restricted free agent and stay with Miami. 2011 doesn't matter because there won't be a season.

he's the trigger man for the wildcat and the best player on the team.... for the right price he will be back. Say what you want about it, but no one else has been anywhere near as effective as ronnie brown when it comes to running the wildcat
