Great JJ interview

Great interview.Jimmy talks about his stint with the Canes,Dolphins,Cowboys.

He even has some glowing words about the Gators........... the shame of it Jimmy. No self respecting Cane fan can do that.:goof:

Jimmy Johnson is overrated.

Hell Give me Aikamn, Smith, Irvin and that D and I could win a few Superbowls.

Overrated? who do you think put that team together. sure as hell wasn't jerry jones. almost every player on that team was a JJ draft pick

He was great in the draft, that's for sure. That guy would make one hell of a GM. He knows how to evaluate talent.

I can think of one playoff team more unprepared than ohio St and that would the Jimmy Johnson dolphins versus Jacksonville. Johnson is quiter who just likes to hear himself talk.

Great interview, thanks for the link. I lived in Dallas while JJ was building that team, pure genious in talent evaluation. Not sure you can crucify him for what he did while he was here, didn't he make it to the second round of the playoffs his last 2 years? Sorry if I'm wrong, but that's what I remember.

Irvin was drafted by Landry. Aikman was a no brainer as he was a consensus number 1 overall pick. Smith was a good pick, though, because many teams thought he was too small or too slow to be an elite back.

I like JJ he's not afraid to speak his mind. That's rare these days most of the modern era coaches all sound like politicians. He built a hell of a team in Dallas and probably would have built a hell of a team here given time. It sucks the way things went down but at least we still have Zach and Jason!

Wow I cant believe what Im reading. He put that team together!!! Nobody just gives you those players. Remember, someone has to coach them.
