I have been kicking this thought around with some of my brothers who are also die-hard Dolphins fans. It seems like for all the truly great moments in Dolphins history there are just as many totally embarrassing moments. I guess that's what makes me so crazy sometimes. I'll throw out a few of each and lets see what the rest of you can come up with for each category.

Great Moments:
Undefeated season (Duh!)
Back-to-back Super Bowls
Played in 5 Super Bowls
Don Shula most career victories
Dan Marino
1984 season
Monday Night win over Bears in 1985
OT Playoff win over Colts
Ricky Williams leads league in rushing 2002
2008 season worst to first

Embarrassing Moments
Blow out loss in Super Bowl VI
Garo's pass in Super Bowl VII
Sea of Hands pass by Oakland
Czonka, Kiick, Warfield to WFL
Earl Campbell MNF game 1978
Riggins 4th down TD run in SB XVII
Blow out loss in SB XVIV
Blow out loss in 1995 playoffs (Shula's last game)
Blow out loss in 1999 playoffs (Marino's last game)
MNF meltdown at the Jets
1-15 in 2007
MNF loss to Colts in 2009

Those are the moments I can think of off the top of my head. How about you guys?

Good: Dupers one handed catch against the Jets after healing his broken leg.
Zach Thomas knocking a player out (NE wide receiver I think) in his first game in the NFL! Winning in Dallas on that botched field goal in the Snow on Thanksgiving day.
Dolphin Cheerleaders! Brian Cox going off and starting a fight with an entire opposing team when we were a team with no spirit and no direction. Players leaving the Dolphins when Shula left - Marco Coleman, Terry Kirby, Cox, Troy Vincent. Marino's hall of fame day. Marino crushing the Steelers in the championship game in his second season. Sporano's worst to first in his first season as a head coach!!!!

Embarrassing moments: Dave Wanstadt getting called down to Miami when JJ quit on us. Saban lying about the Alabama job. Saban picking Culpepper over Brees. Hearing (rumors) that the Ravens players urinated on our stadium field before a game - Wanstadt was coach. Ricky retiring and getting caught for drugs. That criminal running back - Cecil Collins - that JJ took on and his demise. Shula got some unstable guy in camp in the 90's ( a defensive lineman) who had an incident with a knife and ended up in a psychiatric hospital. Mike Martz mocking the Dolphins selection of Jay Fiedler.

If you're going to mention that Colts loss this year, it only seems appropriate to mention the 2004 comeback upset versus the Patriots in front of what had to be a reasonably large holiday audience.

I also think our largest turnaround in NFL history last year to be somewhat special, although it really highlights the depths we experience as well.

The orange jersey games were all great games, even the Washington one. The Dallas Thanksgiving game in 2003, where Miami wore throwbacks, was great too.

The lowest had to be the 1-15 season. In all my years as a fan that one was the most depressing. Thank God for Camarillo or we'd have been winless.

Most Embarrasing Moment:

Loosing to Jaguars 62-3 or something; especially since it was Marino's last game. I was depressed.

Many of those bad moments aren't so much embarrassing as just deflating. Regardless, I don't think this year's Colts game qualifies on an all-time list, and I think you have to include that meltdown to the Pats on the season's final game that cost us the playoffs, back in 2002 or whenever it was. That was a nightmare game.

ace ventura pet detective is pretty embarassing. Dan marinos 15 minute reign as team president.

Ronnie brown breaking al bundys record for most tds in a game was awesome.

I was glad to see that you included the OT Playoff win over the Colts in 2000. Even though we had won the division, almost no one gave us a chance in that one and Lamar Smith just brutalized their Run D on that day. The Fake Spike of course, nothing else needs to be said about that:)

On the flip side: 62-7 in Marino's final game, 1-15 in 2007, and The meltdown in Foxboro on the final game of the season were all painful, but I don't remember ever feeling as bad as I did for the week following the Monday Night Debacle against the Jets. I had nothing to do with the NFL until the Fins took the field again the following Sunday. I'd throw the AFC Title Game against the Bills from the early nineties in as well. The closest Marino ever came to the SB after his 84' run.

yea try being there 10 rows deep in the endzone where wanny decided to throw it 3 consecutive times.

pick 6 against the jets at the end of the year, and the sweep of the jets this year for the simple fact our rookie qb is better than theres
