Greatest Moment in Dolphins History (imho) (video)

I still remember that game, I would love to see the stadium get back to that time of atmosphere again but I unfortunately this stadium is not set up the same as the Orange Bowl, add to that all the transplants and it is almost impossible to repeat that home field advantage again.

What I don't get is why they were making a big deal about it and making is seem like the fans were doing something wrong. #@$#@$ that if I was there that night I wouldn't have shut up either, I would have told the Bears you want me to be quiet, then do something to shut me up.

I'll always remember this game. I was in my second year of college. I really miss the Orange Bowl and I wish we would go back to those uniforms. I still think our greatest moment was when we drafted Dan Marino after he was passed over but a lot of teams. I put that right up there with the SB wins and this Monday Night Game. By the way, where the heck was Jim McMahon????? [Nevermind about McMahon....I could have sworn he played in this game but Steve Fuller replaced him as he was injured].

i wish we can be like that every game. We have lost a lot of fans in the last two decades not like there real fans if they give up on the team but certainly does hurt our home games. Hurts me inside to not be there and hope a lot more fans start going to the game.

Dolphin Stadium is still pretty loud now, not close to the orange bowl though, which was probably the loudest stadium ever. There was no home field advantage better then that. With the plan to move the seats closer to the field when the Marlins leave, it should get louder. Plus the roof if they do that, but it will be open air anyway.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7BqV_QarX8 -Another great video. Features rare footage of Flipper!! The only bad thing about this video is the NFL Network ranked the Orange Bowl as the 8th best homefield advantage instead of #1! A$$holes. Do the Dolphins still hold that record for 27 straight home victories??

Is there a limit to how close they could move the stands to the field now? I wouldn't be surprised. I doubt they would make it like the Orange Bowl seats when they move them closer anyway.

It's no secret that the Dolphins have NEVER been able to duplicate the success they had once had in that Orange Bowl. It's a tale of two franchises. We played in 6 AFC title games and 5 Super Bowls in the 20 years we played there. Remarkable. Not to mention the streaks of dominance we held over the Bills/Patriots/AFC East in general there. Home win streaks, September heat win streaks etc.
