Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy had his suspension reduced from 10 games to four on appeal by arbitrator Harold Henderson, the NFL announced Friday.

The NFL initially suspended Hardy in April for what it deemed to be multiple violations of the league's personal conduct policy during an incident with a former girlfriend in the spring of 2014. The charges against Hardy were eventually dismissed after Nicole Holder refused to cooperate with the Mecklenburg (North Carolina) County district attorney's office.

In its appeal, the NFL Players Association believed Goodell used the personal conduct policy to penalize Hardy even though the incident happened before the policy was in place.

Well brady won't be suspended at all....

I was just going to say that Brady's suspension will be reduced to one game, or no suspension at all now. But there is no arbitrator with Brady....Goodell is the judge and juror here. What's taking Goodell so long to decide. My real guess is Brady gets two games, not four.

She is 100% right, and I'm glad he's not here, even if we sure could use him on the field right now. **** that ****ing guy.

Hardy photos now being splashed across ESPN TV by @OTLonESPN. How long until we hear from the #Cowboys or NFL?

Thank you all so much for sharing the Greg Hardy story. This can't be ignored. He shouldn't be in the NFL.

And yet, the NFL reduced his suspension. :refuse:

Domestic abuse is over looked but don't wear the wrong color socks

I believe it was an independent arbitrator that overturned it. It's equally troubling that the NFLPA supported the reduction of his sentence.

If you look at the other pics, she has bruising around her neck as well. Crazy stuff that hes still on the field.

If you ever needed proof that karma isnt real...

It is sickening that the NFLPA would support a reduction of his suspension. He hasn't even come out and apologized for what he did? As far as I know, he denies any wrong doing saying she did it to herself. Despicable!

This is what happens when women refuse to cooperate (Mrs. Ray Rice), though it sounds like she took the payoff. Another flaw in our legal system. I don't know how North Carolina works but in Florida, the state attorney would have taken the case and pressed charges. At the minimal, Jerry should bench Hardy this Sunday until this gets sorted out. Despicable.

They were showing the photos Deadspin got on ESPN while I was eating lunch today. It made me sick & really pi$$ed off.

2 Questions Cui bono? & Who had enough $ to make this go away?

I stand corrected. The arbitrator was personally selected by Das Fuhrer Godell. Yet another black eye on the league.

Considering America's disgustingly lax attitudes when it comes to domestic violence, the Dallas Cowboys are just trying to establish that they truly are America's Team.
