Gregg Williams Anyone?

Not a fan of what he did in past but he was 5-3 with the Browns this year and in reality should have been given that job but the Browns just gonna Brown.
A little overrated as a DC since his defenses have been stellar at times and many times were not.
If you want him as a DC not sure why you would not want him as a coach. Fangio would have been a much better choice.
Might as well take a chance on Richard although he is overrated because of his age.
The NFl hiring process is pretty damn broken and discriminates against many of the older coaches many times.

I have no issues at all with bountygate. This type of thing still goes on, and went on before the Saints in 2009. Happens in the NFL, college, and high school. I've personally experienced something similar........in high school.

He's an excellent DC, and the role he played in bringing life to the Cleveland Browns was one of the best storylines of the 2018 season, IMO.

Vance shouldn’t be on that list. That guy shouldn’t be anything more than a position coach

Most teams also have an unwritten rule or understanding (especially NE) that you don't take position coaches with you when you get a bigger gig. It will be hard for any of our current candidates to get coordinators and position coaches.

Honestly, for a lot of these coaches it doesn't seem to matter. Our last two coaches have just scooped up guys they had history with, even if they weren't necessarily the right guys for the job. I'm sure Richard, Flores, or Rizzi will have no problems finding guys to fill out these spots after about ten minutes going through their LinkedIn contacts.
