Grimes can easily shut down Tate and this way you always have 2 guys on Megatron, which is a must. While I do think Grimes can do well vs Megatron he would still need Safety help. I just worry more about Finnegan vs Tate's speed 1 on 1. That's not a easy battle for Finnegan. If we put Grimes on Tate that should just about take him out o the game and then we have Reshad and Finnegan take on CJ. Finnegan would do well I think vs CJ. He is a chippy player and isn't afraid to get down if need be. Detroit doesn't have a great TE where we need Reshad to be covering the seams like he did with Gates last week. I think it could work well like this. I'm no DC, but just a thought

Do we flip out corners? I haven't notice them switch sides this year.

careful with the safteys , gotta keep someone watching Bush

Eh.... I dont know about Grimes 'easily' shutting down Tate.

Tate is a great WR and Megatron, well...when healthy is for lack of better words, unstopable.

Short of triple teaming Megatron he will get his 8-10 catches for 100+ yards and a TD. Period.

What the Fins must focus on is stopping the rest of the team. Shut down the run and the scat backs (Reggie/Theo/Bell) and limit Tate forcing Stafford to panic and force the ball to Calvin.

I think you are overrating Tate a lot. He is not great. He very good at best and Grimes should be able to handle him.

I think you're under rating Tate a lot. He has 800 yards in 8 games and has had consecutive games with over 150 yards.

Both of Grimes picks this week came off having safety help, and he was tracking a third pick, which he would have brought in easily but Jones actually broke it up going for it himself. What makes Grimes so great are his instincts, he seems to know what the QB needs to do on any given play and with safety help he can aggressively try to make a play, which he's one of the best in the NFL at. I would prefer to leave Finnegan on an island, even if that means Megatron makes a few catches, and let Grimes try to create turnovers with the safety help.

You don't even mention Reshad Jones by name in the title? tsk. 2nd best DB on the team behind Grimes.

Your^ description of Grimes makes sense except at the end there where you say "I prefer to leave Finnegan on an island and have Grimes with over the top help" that sounds SCARY. DO NOT LIKE.

The thing is no matter who's on the island they have to play it safe. I think Finnegan can play it safe almost as well as Grimes, where you have a huge drop off is when the play is there to be made.

They play very fast on turf..
We will need some big plays.
Look for Delmas to lay some wood

Good insight.
