It's possible based on some media reports that Dolphins will hire Gailey and make Mike Shula the Offensive Coordinator. Considering Gailey's age, could the Dolphins then be grooming Mike Shula to be the Miami Dolphins' Head Coach down the road??

DAMMIT DON!! stop forcing your son on the franchise

There's also media reports saying the same if Cameron is hired....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

That's interesting. The team probably realized they would be hard pressed to hire Mike Shula as HC due to his lack of HC experience in the NFL, etc. But they probably also realize that if they prepare him properly that having him as HC in the near future would provide alot of stability to the organization and inject a great deal of enthusiasm in the fan base. But of course, there are alot of intangibles and things that would have to fall into place to that to occur.

That'd be great...and WH would'nt have to pay him much of a salary as an Offensive Coordinator, just the minimum, the University of Alabama Alumni Association would be on the hook to make up the rest of the money he didn't collect there up to the amount he's owed on the previous contract.

Perfect deal if you ask me.....they've taken a 15 and 17 loser off of our hands and pay the salary of our offensive coach for the next 3 to four years.

Why would coach take a job knowing hes training his replacement?

Maybe he doesn't know (or won't know). Remember the situation has changed for the new coach. The new coach won't be "king of the hill". He will have assistants already in place and a GM to deal with them. But he will make plenty of money and be an NFL Head Coach. I guess he can live with his successor-in-training by his side.
