Grove: "Im not injury proned" Anyone agree?

I don't know if he is injury prone. But he is definitely older now and more likely to get hurt.

I can't recall a single play where he got handled. I was really impressed with the guy.

Most centers pull off the line of scrimmage and are able to tee-off on undersized players. Seems like Miami liked to just run right behind him when he was matched up on the big boys. It's a compliment to his talent but makes him more of an injury risk since the chances of getting rolled on are increased.

i'm hoping we grab a young C/G combo in this draft for some decent depth.

Did you not see the depth we had when Grove and Smiley went down? Garner and Berger could probably start for several teams. That's not to say we won't add an OL in the draft, but depth on the offensive line is not exactly a glaring need.

Grove and depth are not a problem on the OL. Just ask Mr Automatic (Polite). Yes Grove does seem to be injury plagued but the depth limits the concern.

He may believe that he is not injury prone, but we need to pick up a G/C in draft for depth and insurance. JMHO.

Grove was outstanding when healthy but
missing 30 games in 6 seasons IS injury prone
anyway you look at it

this is vary true

Many of Groves injuries seem to be knicks and what not, not every injury serious but aggravations and certainly limit him. Hammy, pulls, strains, etc, i truely consider "injury prone", so yes.

While this is off topic, ive always been hesitant to call Ronnie Brown injury prone because they've seemed odd situations. Last year's injury could have happened to anyone(getting tripped up/tackled at a odd angle) and i believe when he broke his hand it was because it got stuck inside someone's facemask. Odd circumstances, but its undeniable he has a history.
With a Cadallac Williams, Anquan Boldin, and Jake Grove, they seem to be tearing ligaments or pulling hammies constantly. Thats the difference to me.

Jakes played an entire season once in his NFL career and he thinks he's not injury prone.

He's a top 5 C in the league but what good is he on the bench with an injury?
