Keeps turning teams down supposedly but what's it gonna take.

Hard to believe he don't still have that itch

Gruden is another guy that I don't get the love fest. Guy absolutely destroyed the Bucs after being handled a deeply talented roster. He alienates his players and mismanages a roster worse than Philbin. Disheartening if Ross went this way but its so Ross to do so. Splash hire not quality.

I've got to agree with another poster who said enough with the money grabbers, let's get someone who wants to coach, one who has passion, not making someone want to take a job based on throwing dollars at him.

I was right about to say this. I don't want him. He inherited an elite team and then did nothing with it after winning the SB.

Don't want him.

what is it with the dolfan psyche and throwing money at problems?

overpaying a guy to come back would be Saban v2. I want a great coach who wants to be here

you wonder why our FA's never turn out? I don't

Regardless of availability or competence of a HC job, Gruden isn't going anywhere. He just signed a contract with ESPN that goes thru 2021 and his only responsibilities are calling MNF 16 nights out of the year, along with his QB Camp series and doing some NFL draft work while making lots and lots of money. There's no amount of money that would get him to come back to 100+ hr work weeks and a 365 day occupation over what he gets to do now.

I like Gruden as a coordinator and he is a great commentator....but he inherited a great team and played the team he had coached in the SB. So basically he took someone elses team to the SB and someone else took his team to the SB. Then the Bucs went to crap fast!

I don't think Gruden is interested at all in going back to coaching. I have seen comments that say the only way he would coach again is if he had a top five QB. And God knows we don't have one of those. So get over the Gruden rumors -- it's not going to happen.

Wonder is Jay Gruden is available? The Deadskins are well the Deadskins....

Sean Peyton is the only legit NFL experienced head coach who could become available.

Funny how everyone wants to discredit Gruden for TB but not one mention of the powerhouse raiders team he built and would have kept winning with had al Davis not traded him to TB
