When a story as appealing and juicy as this breaks in the sports world, one thing is certain, a few heads will roll.
Outlets like ESPN almost feel as though they are entitled to firings because of how hard they propagate the story.
If Ireland said Martin should punch incognito...he will be gone.
And
If any more info comes out that Philbin knew what was going on....he WILL BE GONE.
This is how it works when espn and other media get their hands on a story like this...It seems as though their job is not over until people get fired.
(The most recent example)
The Rutgers incident: Although Mike RIce (the coach) was fired, and students etc lost interest it was ESPN that continued to headline their show with repeated information calling for the AD to be fired as well. A week later he was. That wasn't it, even after this they wanted the President fired. (He wasn't because he was brought in to oversee a multi-million dollar merger of schools) but it didnt stop them from continuing their pressure for another head to roll.
