Hey everyone,

Here's something Omar Kelly just tweeted a response to and I couldn't help but lose it a little.

"@codykepley92: if the Dolphins happen to go 4-0 in this stretch is Tannehill the long term answer in your opinion?"» NO.

So what, if anything will solidify him with this team? I mean don't get me wrong, I know a great deal of us on here support Tannehill. However, if winning out and capturing a playoff spot isn't enough to convince some, what is? I know it's Omar as well, but seriously?

Guess we should hope Tannehill goes 31/35 for 425 yards, 4 TDs, 0 Ints, and 75+ rushing yards against the Ravens just to have a sliver of hope he is the guy..

:bobdole:

I find that hard to believe because the last 8 games he's been very supportive. Maybe he thinks we should draft another QB for competition which I would agree with. I don't want Ryan feeling too comfortable

"@BRANDED9_: So @OmarKelly still saying tannehill isnt the long term answer if fins get in playoffs. Lmao"» 3rd downs, 4th quarter, red zone

Andy Dalton and Alex Smith both get their team to the playoffs. Does that mean they are a franchise QB.

When Ryan Tannehill isn't in the bottom 3rd on third downs, 4th quarter play & his team executes well in the red zone he'll have arrived.

I give you Ryan Tannehill's critical numbers EVERY WEEK. Every week they are mediocre in 4 critical areas that separate avg QBs from good.

Ugh...lol

so you can achieve some goals but if you dont do it all then your not it....

ok Omar. Third year dude.

why dont you go look up Peyton Manning #'s from his third year? tell me what you think.

I'm no Omar fan and I love Ryan but I agree with Omar, Thill won't prove anything until the season is over but he's lookin real good right now

Miami is just seldom good with a late lead. Everyone stops trying to make plays, instead, we get nervous and jittery and this starts with coaching. We can't play like we're afraid to lose because that becomes the self-fulfilling prophecy week after week.

We're never gonna be a legit contender unless we can actually keep attacking and pull away from teams at the end of games.

He's changed his argument before it was be over 90 rating. Fact is.. Omar and Big O jump on Tannehill because it creates the attention they want.

I eat this stuff up which I know is what they want but someone just tweeted about Steve Young after Monday night's game saying that Tannehill reminded him of Aaron Rodgers to which Omar stated that he himself said that before we even drafted him...lol

Omar isn't a fan of the dolphins. He'd rather be critical and point out flaws so if Tannehill fails, he can say people have been hating on him for years for his views and he has been right all along. If Tannehill continues to develop, he can just play it off that he is just now demonstrating franchise qb material. Either way he has nothing to lose, and gains from the hits of angry fans disagreeing with him.

Some people watch Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning and think that's the norm. These are once in a generation type talents, with two of them playing at high level far longer than they should be. Aside from these elite talents, there isn't another team out there where their fans don't bitch about their qb on a week to week basis (aside from the colts or seahawks maybe). Ryan might not deserve the title franchise qb yet. But like him or not he is here to stay for the near future, and I'm glad as hell he is our guy going forward.

Queasy?

and before that is was 85 because the Fins had like a 13-1 record when he had a rating above that number. Now that Tannehill has a rating above that number and the defense has been the ones letting the team down he has raised it even higher. He just keeps moving the target higher and higher to justify his opinion. It's laughable really.

Maybe we can trade RT straight up for Kap.

That would give Miami a QB that Omar would love -- an intellectual, fast brain, quick release, high accuracy winning QB.

Oh, wait...
