I found an interesting read about Ochocinco on NFL.com. Talks about him as a brand and how it differs from who he actually is, his days in NE last year, etc. Cool read I guess. And then Ocho responsded to the article on twitter with a very odd tweet.

The second article tries to decipher the tweet, but they dont even know what it means. Check it out and tell me what you think he meant with his tweet.

I've known about this article coming out for quite some time, and here it finally is. Ian Rapoport has an axe to grind with Ocho after Ocho's blowing off of the media last year. There are different ways to perceive this:

1) Was Chad embarrassed by his poor performances?
2) Was Chad in a bad place, which then LEAD to the poor performances, and ignoring of the media, etc?

Rapoport was set to have a sit down interview with Ocho last year, and he cancelled last second. Since then, via twitter and radio, Rapoport went on this mission to tell everyone how Chad isn't a nice guy, and etc etc. Chad is what he is... a super eccentric person. I don't do arm chair psychiatrist (nor should anyone... the human personality is way too complex for some mechanic from Ft Lauderdale to break down) but he certainly exhibits certain personality traits of a specific type of personality disorder. I'm a huge fan of Chad Johnson and think he has his ups and downs like everyone else. Look at his one "hold out" season in Cinci, he was clearly sad/depressed and just wanted a change in his life. He's an emotional guy, and he seems to ride the wave when it comes and when it isn't there, he just shuts down.

My point to all of this is Chad seems to be back to his old self, and is admittedly in a MUCH better place than he was even 2 years ago. He seems to thrive off of it, and I personally think it'll lead to a more productive receiver.

There's an article from about two weeks ago on Chad and his life in Miami.

Personally I think Chad is referencing himself in his tweet. The Ian's article basically calls him a bull****ter and Chad's tweet refutes that by suggesting "when I talk you better listen because I mean what I say".

All it is, a great big witty pissing match.

Chad seems really refocused and what was admittedly a humbling experience in NE. He's gotten married, changed his name back to Johnson and hopefully, at 34, has finally grown up to a greater extent.
