While all you have been saying that Gus did not play with the first stringers,he did.He first series where he almost got killed in the endzone was with all the first stringers. He made 40 plus yard pass. Then he almost got sacked and made a incomplete pass to chambers. And then he got sacked. His next series was with the second string...

His play near the goalline was pretty sweet, where he sent the blitzer flying cause he overshot him. That wasn't an accident, he knew it was coming.

that's what I've been saying too. It was split, he started with the first string and then the second later, but he did well against both.

Dude he was horrible against the first string. He underthrew CC on the first play ( CC made great adjustment). Then he overthrew CC for a first down. Then he took one of the longest developing sacks I have ever seen. For all you guys railing against Feeley's pocket presence where was Frerotte's on that play. Gus's grandma could've avoided the sack on that play.

His only shining moments came against the 2nd string and quite frankly that was the same second string that opened up the 2nd half and Sage just drove down the field on them like they were nothing and scored a TD. Sage actually had a harder time against the 3rd string then the 2nd string that Frerotte had to deal with.

did he not move the ball? come on, it wasn't perfect but his throws weren't too bad, I like dhow he handled himself in the pocket. The offense reminded me of Miami in the past when Feeley was in there we would get some completions and then suddenly stall at mid field. Frerrote took the team down the field twice, the first time could have been a TD, because Grerrote threw the ball right where should be but no.40 stumbled on his way to the ball, and it fell imcomplete, but still got a field goal.

that play alone symbolizes everything he can do that feeley can't. if feeleys in thats a safety. But gus made it a 40 yard gain. It wasn't pretty, it probably shouldn't have happened, but Gus was smart, and gave Chambers a chance to make the play, and surprise surprise, he did.

I was referring to him playing against the first string defense not the second string. I agree that he played well against the second string but to be realistic that's the same unit Sage drove the length of the field on and scored a touchdown. Gus's time is coming up this Sat against the first string Jaguar defense. Personally I think he'll do good as long as the oline blocks stroud and henderson. I just threw that out there because that was the only drive where he played against the same defense that feeley played against
