Not saying Feeley is all that but it will be quite sad to be the only team bad enough at QB to consider starting Frerotte except as a emergency start. This says alot about how bad we have neglected the QB position. Now some may bring up that he went to pro bowl a decade a go or that he did good when Culpepper was hurt but the fact remains that we basically had very little compettion for his services so if other teams thought he was so good they disguised it quite well. I personally would have favored the guy that replaced Frerotte or Mike Mcmahon. I assume they brought Frerotte in because he knows the offense so hopefully AJ will show enough to win the job because Frerotte is not a very good starter just a solid backup and he did not have a probowl deserving season but he went anyway he had a passing rating in the 70's. I would rather give Feeley a chance with improved oline play and a running game.

From what I have heatrd, they have been fairly even in camp, with Frerotte getting an edge the last practic. In that case, I would say go with AJ because he is younger and has the talent. However, AJ has some things he should improve upon, like locking on his recievers.

If he had talent he would be starting somewhere. He got beat out by Fiedler, and now he's getting beat out by Frerotte.

How's that for talent?

Play Frerotte and draft QB next year.

Ya screw Gus, hes only good at back-up. But we need to start aj and give him the time to develop in the system man, I think aj will improve if he stays the starter.

So wait, you bash Gus, whos proven he can play in Linehans offense but you dont bash feeley whos already considered the worst starting qb. At least Frerotte is better than Trent Dilfer. I cant say that for AJ.

Gus hasnt proved anything as of late. He's old and gettin rusty man, and ya he knows the system, so the hell what? AJ is the better qb, with a better arm. Give him time to develop and put him behind an improved O-line and it will be like.......what happend to GUS????

Lets go with the guy who gives us the better odds of winning. right now we dont know who that is because Saban hasnt told us yet

I don't think you understand what talent is. You can be the most talented person in the world and yet still suck at quarterback.

Yes Gus proved nothing in this system (check his stats in minny lately?).

All Aj has proven is that he blows.

All gus has proven is that he knows the system? You act like that isnt important....then again i suppose it isnt when you throw more balls to the wrong team than to your own.

Finally AJ does not have a better arm than gus.

Gus Has NOT proved anything as of late, like I said. And If Gus was really something special why wasnt there more need for him from other teams. All gus is NOW...is a Back up. A decent back up. Gus does know the system, and thats a big deal, but thats the only advantage he has over AJ. Once AJ learns the system and gets the hang of it, there you go. AJ will be a good qb if saban gives him the faith and time to develop.

Finally AJ does have the better arm.

AJ does not have a better arm at all. Gus has better arm stregnth, better accuracy, better brain, better understanding of the offense, better pocket presence. The only thing has is a better looking wife. Thats his only value to this team.

As far as AJ vs Gus:
Gus in 03 in MInny: 7/2 TD/INT 118 rating.
AJ last year: NFL record 6 pick 6's, more INT than TD.

Get it? Gus did nothing last year but nothing was better than the negative impact AJ had.
