According to Herald:

Quarterback Gus Frerotte, who left the game with a concussion in the third quarter, again denied a report by CBS that he has a broken middle finger in his right (throwing) hand.
CBS analyst Steve Beuerlein said during the game vs. Cleveland on Nov. 20 that Frerotte had a hairline fracture of his finger.

Beuerlein, who also indicated he had talked with Dolphins quarterbacks coach Jason Garrett about other issues, repeated Sunday that Frerotte had a broken finger. Frerotte did wear a cast on the finger during the week.

I know Gus was pressured a lot yesterday, but some of his passes were way off. Do you think Gus is hiding his injuries to keep his job? Also is this the same injury that he had before because I thought that was an injury to the index finger, not the ring finger. If Gus is not 100% he needs to get out there because he definitely would not be "giving us the best chance to win."

i hope he is gone for the season.

yes he is cause he is trying to audition for a starting job next year cause if he sits and sage has a decent end to the season, gus could be cut and will not be able to find a starting job and thus his career ends.

He also had a lot of good throws that were dropped.

I thought the receivers played like complete crap until the 4th quarter

i am starting to think there has been a pattern between our qb and wrs. and something is out of wack here i just dont know what it is.

I guess you may have finally gotten your wish. You've been hoping for a season ending injury for Gus all year.

It is really quite sickening to think a fan of the team would so openly hope for one of their players to be seriously injured.

I do not like him, and never have been a supporter of Gus, but I don't think our struggles in yesterday's game had anything to do with Frerotte. He had a man in his face on every pass and when he didn't his passes were dropped. The fact that Sage is more athletic may have something to do with it, but the fact that the O-line's protection was night and day between the first and second half. I would like to see Sage continue to start to see if he can continue to impress, but I don't think Gus should take any blame for how bad the team looked in the first half.

I'm not a Gus supporter but if Saban wants to keep starting him, I have no choice but to support it. But if he continues to struggle and Sage pulls off another miracle comeback, something is wrong.
