Just something about one of our guys I figured I'd share:

"7. For those of you who missed Kansas City's Friday Night Lights victory over the Dolphins, you didn't miss anything remotely impressive.

Had the Dolphins chosen to play a quarterback with Division I talent, they would've pounded the Chiefs. In a league with Joey Harrington, J.P. Losman, Kyle Orton, AnthonyKyle BollerWright and Michael Vick, Gus Frerotte is the worst passing QB in professional football.

Kansas City's defense was miserable in a 30-20 Chiefs victory, but Frerotte bailed out KC's defenders by underthrowing and overthrowing open receivers all evening. Something tells me Drew Brees won't have that problem this weekend."

Ouch. Well, if he doesn't improve this week, I think Saban will have his hand forced. Just so ironic we experience this same situation 6 years in a row and now with a completely new HC, coaching staff, QB, attitude, direction, etc.

I think Danny jinxed us when Dave gave him the boot :(

Maybe if our receivers grow 6 inches or cut their routes short, Gus could actually be heading to the Pro Bowl. :)

Sad but true!Hopefully Saban will pull him if he stinks it up this week! How many more loses can he take!

C'mon Gus isn't the worst QB in the NFL......but he is not in the top half either. I was saying we needed to draft a franchise QB last year and the year before that...not that I don't love RB, but we are going to continue to be "average" until we can get a good QB in here....I know we never will see Dan Marino again, but we should be able to at least get a QB who will make us competetive. I would trade up for Leinart or Vince Young should we not have a top 5 pick in 2006. If they are gone, I would go after Reggie Bush and send Ricky packing.

That makes any criticism Frerotte has received on this board seem like minor ribbing. That guy just ripped him apart. The sad part about it, is that is was true for that game. I don't know if you can say that Frerotte played that poorly the whole season, but certainly that game. If Frerotte can't pass, what can he do? He's not going to win us games with his legs. I guess the only thing he has done reasonably well is getting rid of the ball to avoid sacks and throwing the ball away to avoid interceptions.

Thats what drives me mad!!! Gus see's the pass but he can't execute. I can only remeber 2-3 passes that were actually well thrown. Not over, or under, or at the feet, or way in front, or at the freaking defender. A lot of times when a QB is seeing the throw, but not making it, it's a sign that his body is unable to do what the brain says... Otherwise known as aging.

wow, i didn't know he was the worst.

bench his *** now. and start sage. sage can't be anyworse.

As one who has experienced some aging I'll have to take exception to blaming age.

Even though I've aged some over the years, when I see something and my brain says "I'd like to hit that!", my body is still able to comply.

Even when Gus was younger he still had trouble hittin' it. ;)
