Dolphins: Frerotte to be named the starter
The News
Gus Frerotte has won the Dolphins' quarterback competition and will be the team's starter against the Broncos on September 11, according to a report in the Palm Beach Post. Frerotte, who was signed away from the Vikings this offseason, was competing for the job with incumbent A.J. Feeley.
Our View
Frerotte has played much better so far in the preseason than A.J. and is more familiar with new offensive coordinator Scott Linehan's scheme from their days together in Minnesota. We've had Frerotte ranked higher than Feeley all summer, but he's still barely a top-30 fantasy quarterback.
