(On what the Dolphins have to do to get back on track) – “We need to move the chains, take what they give us, get the running game going a little bit and just be positive. We need to do positive things and do whatever we can to move the sticks, get first downs and stay on the field.â€Â
(On it seeming like he missed throws last game more often than earlier in the season) – “Yes, I missed some throws last game. You just miss some sometimes. As a quarterback you have to hit them all, you have to make the throws when they are there and you have to make the big throws when they count. That’s just the game. I didn’t have a very good second half. I just have to play a lot better in the second half. I looked at that game and learned from it. I watched the film several times. I just have to step up and play better and go back to whatever it is that takes you back to being a better quarterback. I thought about it – I had a lot of time to think about it – and I came out and had a good two days of practice and I’m ready to go.â€Â
(On if it is tough for all eleven starters to get a full grasp of the offense and if it takes time to do that) – “No, I don’t think so, but then again it takes time to learn about each other, to learn and trust and to have faith. That is a big thing right now. You just have to go into every game saying, ‘I have to trust those guys.’ Those guys are in front of me, those guys are beside me and all that. We just have to go out and play. You have to believe in yourself and believe that you can make all the plays.â€Â
(On how the team has lost chemistry over the past few weeks) – “I don’t know what to tell you. I wish I had the answer because we wouldn’t have lost it. Sometimes those things happen. Sometimes you hit a wall. It’s the NFL, you are going to play good teams and things are going to happen, whether guys get hurt or whatever in games. We lost a little bit, but we are back on track this week, we have had a couple of good days of practice and we just have to go back at it again. I have seen a lot of things happen in this league. I have had great games and bad games. You just have to forget about them, whether they were really good or really bad and go out and get ready for next week.â€Â
(On the Saints defense) – “They have a good front four. They just play some base coverages. They don’t get out of position a lot. They are just doing their jobs and staying in position. It’s kind of like what the Tampa Bay Buccaneers d, where they just play their coverage, they play it really well and they know how to play it. That’s one of the philosophies that the Saints have this year.â€Â
