As everyone know, I'm one of the biggest AJ supporters here on this board, but I was lying to myself and deep down, I knew Gus would start.
3 reasons :

1. Saban is using a win-now mentality (reloading) as you can see, (Williams, Schulters, and Carter) are not rebuilding type players. The best way to win now is to use Gus because he knows the system and Linehan likes him..

2. I doubt Saban has anything to do with the offense. Linehan calls all the shots on offense and will probably decide which receivers get the pink slip.

3. Feeley is still a rookie in my book with not much experience and he cannot read defenses the way Gus can.

Feeley is more talented and more accurate than Gus after watching both of them but he needs more experience...But those idiotic posts of Brock Berlin becomig the starter or 2nd stringer is senseless. He is only effective in the shotgun.

I don't know that he's more accurate. And Feeley doesn't have a range of throws either like Gus does (aka touch, platforms, etc).

There's just no way that is true. Saban has his hand in everything going on with this team

Bro, isn't it time for a name change? lol

Whether you like him or not, Frerotte has stated he wants the starters job and set out to take it from the beginning. I always hoped Feeley would work out, but he doesn't seem to have the competitive fire or drive you want in a QB. He seems to content in these preseason games despite his performance, which just doesn't seem right considering he's losing his job. You would prefer he'd at least be po'd and show more leadership. This doesn't inspire much confidence as a number 2 either.

I think Feeley frustrated, he's not getting as many throws, Gus got a bunch of throw it to boston and let him run, Feeley didn't get that until the Jacksonville game. In the first game the OL wasn't as good as it was in the 2nd game..Feeley comes in and the 2nd unit isn't playing as good as the first. It has to be furstrating.. Gus plays it smart throwing to the TE's more and thus Mcmicheal is loving him...CK in the games I saw, both of them, AJ is more accurate, he hasn't had many touch throw to assess, but the ones to the outside and posts and sceens, he's been find. When he throws the 20 yard out, I don't hold my breath like I use to do with Fiedler.

No matter if Gus starts right now, Feeley is one blitz away to start ...Both of them better be ready...

And Feeley is one blitz away from returning to the sidelines as well. Sage better be ready.
