This is not a complaint..I am very encouraged with Gus's overall play, he has made some really nice throws, including todays TD passes to Chambers and Mcmike.....but has anyone else noticed some of his misses are reallly off and nowhere near a potential target? These kinds of things tend to get overshadowed in wins but he has been very fortunate the first few games on several potential INT's that were not made...is this more of everyone trying to learn the new offense or is that just typical of Gus to be sporadically brilliant?

I think it is typical of Gus unfourtunatly. I for one am not thrilled about Gus' play. I am not complaining because I expected this out of him. But he has always been average.

on a side note his performance today wasnt that great either. 14 of 33. It is just nice to have a QB that protects the ball for once.

Gus has always had periodic accuracy problems throughout his career. Its why teams only want him as a backup. Hopefully he can resurrect his career here but its a little late for him to suddenly become accurate.

Couldn;t have said it better myself. This just goes to show the difference in wins and losses by simply protecting the ball and keeping INT's to a minimum. Go Gus.

His hot/cold streaks are his M.O.. This will continue but so far its not hurting us.

Yeah good point.....I'd almost forgotten how frustrating it was watching Fiedler lose the ball from taking a clean hit in the pocket. He had a really bad feel for where pressure was coming from, if any at all. Huge upgrade in Gus in that aspect......and definitely don't miss the flutter balls..AMEN!

Thanks all for the insight on Gus, I guess I will just hope he throws more and more often like he did on that Mcmike & Chambers TD's and the Booker TD in the Denver game than not.
