I fixed your poll to make it less ambiguous.

2 choices being ... Yes -or- No (uncertain) ... seemed like it made the "No" choice wishy-washy instead of an actual opinion.

cutler is not the long term answer.....no

Probably not unless Cutler is very good and Ryan's status is wishy washy, which I do not expect. People on Finheaven lose sleep over Matt Moore's salary can you imagine if we're paying Cutler to be Tanny's backup? This place would implode.

Yes, if he plays well. Could obviously impact what we do with Ryan who I hope can return healthy to us! Only other viable option I see is maybe Alex Smith.

I understand that plenty of high caliber arms will be available next draft (next year) ... do we then, your angle (if Cutler is NOT granted an extension next season), select a collage quarterbacks (2018-19), with the goods to potentially carry us deeper into the season?? Curious.

Not likely IMO. Past performance, especially most recent past performance is the best indicator of future performance.

Tannehill recent performance versus Cutler's last years of performance aren't close IMO. I hope Cutler has a good year but it would be a stretch to believe he is going to improve after flaming out and returning from retirement.

If we make the playoffs and he wants to return I would say we stick with Cutler and move on from Tannehill. In this situation we would also draft a QB highly in the draft next year (something we may do even if we stick with Tannehill).

I AGREE ... WELL PUT.

About as likely as a mermaid swimming out onto the field. Cutler is window dressing. I think we'd all be better serve of we accepted reality. Hell... we're miami dolphins fans, shouldn't be too hard to know when you're ******.
Just go in to each week with the glimmer of hope that we'll see some good plays that give us reason to be excited next year. That way you don't take your life after the first 5 weeks of what you're about to witness.

The Miami Dolphins motto, say it with me: There's always next season!

I am more of a keep T-Hill, but regardless of results this year allow Gase to explore potential QB options in the draft. If he identifies a guy he would be comfortable developing then go get him. No matter the cost.

No, the only reason cutler is here, is because he knows Gases offense. Gase wants 2 quarterbacks, to be able to run his system. He didn't bring cutler in because he's amazing or to REPLACE Tannehill.

Usually these poll questions are no brainers, but I think this is actually a damn tough one.

I'm voting no, because I think it'd be less than 50/50 to happen, but I could definitely see it happening if we do get in the playoffs.

I do think the scenario in which this happens is if the team has a stronger playoff performance than last season, Cutler miraculously stays healthy all season, and has a career year. In that scenario, I think Cutler would definitely want to continue playing instead of heading into retirement, and Gase 100% strikes me as a "Bird in hand is worth two in the bush" type of guy.

But those are a lot of IFs that go beyond "if Miami makes the playoffs."
