Sorry to dash any hopes you might have but you should be interested in the truth. I am not a Thigpen hater, although I don't like him because he sucks so bad, and a lot of Chiefs fans thought he was the quarterback of the future, and he probably would have been had Herm Edwards stuck around.

He has bottom of the barrel accuracy for an NFL quarterback. About the only guy worse is JaMarcus Russell. The Chiefs created a spread-type offense predicated on short throws last year, and Thigpen still only completed 54 percent of his passes.

He had tunnel vision on Tony Gonzalez, too. Without Tony he's really going to stink and that was what happened this preseason. He was awful. He threw an interception while he was falling down. He threw a punt to a receiver that gained 40 yards. He threw a pick six.

He's really mobile and has a decent arm, although his deep ball dies like a wounded duck after 40 yards. But his inaccuracy, and his lack of height, cripple him as any sort of potential franchise quarterback.

Also, I really don't like his attitude. This offseason he was on KC radio saying how the Chiefs shouldn't draft a quarterback and he had earned the right to be the starter this year, etc, etc. He has a touch of arrogance about him that I really don't like.

I think he's a decent backup quarterback but even Brodie Croyle beat him out for that job this preseason. In fact, it wasn't even close.

Long story short, Chad Henne is your best bet. At least he can throw accurately (or at least I'm guessing).

Hope you didn't give up too much for Thiggy.

Thigpen is a backup until either Pat White is ready or Henne tanks and we draft another. End of story.

Regardless, he's a decent back-up for Henne. White is not ready to be an NFL QB right now.

I was looking forward to hearing from some KC fans but this is not what I was hoping to hear. Thanks. I do like to hear from fans who were around our newly acquired players.

One thing about Thigpen...he was pretty easy to figure out. He would go into the tank after halftime almost every game. There were games he had 15 passing yards after halftime and our offense did nothing after a good first half.

Just stuff like that.

He can't play from under center, either, which cripples your running game.

Kansas City's team was garbage last year and I believe Thigpen still had more TD's to INT's ratio, which is impressive.

Did you see Henne vs. the Chargers last weekend? Henne was inaccurate repeatedly within 10 yards. This guy has shown nothing yet, least of which is accuracy.

And they didn't give up too much. Heck, they have given up four 2nd round picks for QB's in the past 4 years. What's another pick?

and how's cassel working out for you?

Ouch. Sounds like you guys are in for a long season.

When do the pitchforks come out for Tuna?

Let's keep things in perspective, he fills a back up role and that's it. We're not looking for him to save us just provide a veteran back up in case Henne gets hurt.

It was Henne's first game with the starters. He wasn't ready and he came in the 3rd Q. There was no game plan for him. Our WR's also can't get opened and we have an senile old man running the offense. The offense is too conservative.

A week of practicing with the starters should make him better prepared. I have a feeling he will light up the Bill's secondary.
