So the 1st round didn't go as well as most people would have hoped. If James ends up being an above average starter at RT for the next 10 years, who cares when he was taken, but from a value perspective we took we may have been able to grab in round 2. I'm not saying it was a bad pick, the draft board had been decimated, with Mosley, Shazier, Martin, and Ebron all gone before we picked. However we could definitely had picked up an extra 3rd as no other linemen were taken in the 1st round. The 2nd round is looking a lot more favorable from the value perspective as there are multiple guys on the board that could have gone in the 1st. Now most of these guys are propably going to be gone, but if anyone of them are still there when we pick we should fell lucky.

So here is my list of guys we should cross our fingers on:

Wide Receiver:

Marqise Lee*, WR, USC
Height: 5-11. Weight: 192.
40 Time: 4.52.

Projected Round (2014): 1.
Most of you know this guy, had he come out last year he would likely have been a top 10 pick. I feel like he's this years Keenan Allen. He's still around because his production dropped considerably in a new system after an injury, but at one point this guy was absolutely dominate. If he's still on the board, take him.

Cody Latimer*, WR, Indiana
Height: 6-2. Weight: 215.
Projected 40 Time: 4.58.
Projected Round (2014): 1-3.

This is another guy that could have gone in the 1st round because he has all the tools to develop into a legit #1 receiver. “When you’re 6-2½ and you’re 225 pounds and you run a 4.39 (40-yard dash) and you’re one of the strongest wide receivers you’ll ever come across, and you have real good hands and natural pass receiving skills, that’s going to push you up,” - ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. So he's big and fast sometimes that not enough to make you a 1st rounder, but this guy also put up more reps than Ja'Wuan James our receiver RT. Take him!

Tight End:

Jace Amaro*, TE, Texas Tech
Height: 6-5. Weight: 265.
40 Time: 4.74.
Projected Round (2014): 1-2.
Not my favorite tight end the draft for the Dolphins, that would be Trot Niklas, but from a value perspective this guy would be outstanding. Many people had him mocked to NE in the 1st round. This guy placed in the top 5 of almost every drill at the combine, if he had played in a more pro-style offense, there is no way he would have fallen out of the 1st round. Is he a great blocker? Not yet, but he has potential to be a pro bowl TE. Remind me of Jason Witten coming out of college.

Guard:

Xavier Su'a-Filo**, G, UCLA
Height: 6-4. Weight: 307.
40 Time: 5.04.
Projected Round (2014): 1-2.

Not only considered the best Guard in the draft by most experts but he comes from a zone blocking scheme and could be an immediate starter for us a left or right guard. Could have taken him in the first and it would have been less of a reach then James. He won't be there but if he is our line should be top 10 this year.

Joe Bitonio, OT, Nevada
Height: 6-4. Weight: 307.
40 Time: 4.97.
Projected Round (2014): 1-2.
A poor man's Zack Martin or a rich man's Nate Garner this guy has played every position on the line effectively. You could have heard is name called at 19 as many people had him ranked higher than James. For us I envision him playing LG with the ability to be a primary backup at either tackle spot.

Running Back:

Carlos Hyde*, RB, Ohio State
Height: 5-11. Weight: 230.
40 Time: 4.66.
Projected Round (2014): 2.
If this was 2004 or 1994 this guy would be a 1st round pick. I know running backs have been devalued in the NFL but this guy was absolutely dominant in college. He put up almost combined 300 yards and 5 touchdowns against Illinois and he's a near perfect fit for us, a one-cut zone runner with power, great feet, soft hands and the ability to get yards AFTER contact. Did mention that he's also one of the best blocking packs in college football.... Take him!

So, let's all cross our fingers and just hope that one of these guys is still there when the Dolphins are on the clock later today.

I would realy like to get carlos hyde.I think he would be a great fit for us.

I like Robinson and Hyde. Don't think either will fall to 50 though.

Praying to God for Lee.

Know it won't happen.

Still praying.

I want a receiver (or Amaro, which is basically a receiver). I do not want Chris Borland, I know that much.
