Hey all! Here are my parting thoughts on Rex Hadnot:

Great guy, wish him the best, but I'm glad that he's gone.

Can't wait for the Pro Bowl honors to start rolling in for some of our o-linemen.

And for those of you who felt that Hadnot was worth keeping as a starter, feel free to rip me after reading the column.

I wouldnt say he was our best lineman, but I was sad to see him go because of his versatility and the cohesiveness he could have brought to a young offensive line. But I guess Parcells, Ireland and Sparano must have seen something we didnt if they werent willing to give him a 2 year deal at the least like Cleveland did. In that sense he must have sucked worse than we think.

glad we have a pro bowler waiting in the wings at LG. i must of missed that signing, who is it?

This was my favorite line from the article:

"The days of average O-linemen are finally coming to an end in Miami."

WOOHOO!!!

I smell Jake Long...

Its looking more like that after signing all these defensive signings and letting Hadnot walk. Could be moving Carey back to RT and drafting Long. Unless we trade JT, all this throws off our Chris Long drafting IMo

How about option "D" in the poll ...

sad to see him go, he was good depth at C and G.

Hadnots exit siganls nothing, its like getting rid of an old pair of shoes or soemthing. Marginal player at best. Most people will not know hes gone.

Decent player that would have given us solid depth at C and G. Smiley should be an upgrade to the RG position. Hopefully Satele is ready to take over the line calls this year and losing him is a non issue.

As the old saying goes...I'll believe when I see it. How many times before did we hear...the O-line will improve...just give it time. Now we hear...soon we'll have pro-bowlers? Nice thought...but it takes time...good coaching and alot of luck.

Mormino and whoever they draft will compete at LG.

I fully expect 2 picks in the first 4 rounds on OL and one of the later comp picks. I also suspect they will bring in 3-4 undrafted linemen all to compete for those 2 spots and fill out depth.

I just hope Mormino can get through a training camp first. I get a bad feeling in my gut that he might turn into "Glass" Joe Toledo. Hope not

lets just pay the money for max starks instead of paying the money for the first pick of the draft on jake long which is enormous compared the what we would be paying starks plus starks is definitely a stud and could contriute significantly for many years to come being that hes only like 26 years old.. this way we can pick up chris long in the draft and we have both positions solidified
