I have been reading in many posts how much people are attacking Hagan, and in a way I do understand and agree, but he does have some skills that if he learned to catch a football would make him a very valuable player.

Don't get down on Hagan too much, the guy does do something really well, he seems to get open, runs very good routes, if he can learn to actually catch the Ball, he is a great player to have out there on 3rd down.

I agree with all of you that Hagan needs to prove himself fast, and actually start catching the ball, or he is out of here, but do love the fact that Hagan is more times then not beating his man and getting open. Maybe better QB play will help him.
If he makes the team this year, he need to prove himself or he is gone, but rest assure, if he learns to actually catch the ball, he is going to be a big knife in the back of many opponents..especially on 3rd down.

i personally like Hagan i think he has the skills to be a top WR if he could hold on to the Ball he is a good 3rd or 4th option if we sign another player

I like Hagan as well. But with Walker coming in for a visit and other FA wide outs out there like Hackett, Johnson and we have Camarillowho really stepped up at the end of last season and could be the #4 guy which leaves Hagan out of the mix unless he impresses here pretty quick

That's kind of the thing about wr; they have to CATCH THE BALL. Living in LA, saw him torch the Pac 10 a lot. I thought he was kind of a steal in the 3rd round, but he hasn't put it all together yet.

That's the thing, he has to impress and prove himself, but if someone could work with him, and he started to show the concentration and hand that is need for the position, he really could become a good #3 receiver, to eventually a top #2 receiver.

If we sign Walker it's going to be up to Camarillo and Hagan to see who sticks and who leaves, because I see none of the others being let go. I don't know if we go with any other FA Receiver after Walker, but who knows.

I believe he is the all-time leading receiver not just for ASU but also in PAC-10 history.....he knows how to catch the ball.....just be patient.

Very tough to get a clear picture on Hagan given his limited body of work and the fact that he hasn't been able to work in one system with the same experienced, talented qb. Jury is still out.

Hagan would be a solid WR if could catch the ball consistently.

It's kind of a big thing when a WR "needs to learn how to catch a ball"....wouldn't you agree?

Remember this : Hagans rookie year he did okay, I mean he was a rookie, cant expect much. Last year, we were in turmoil! We were 1-15.
With Parcells running things, and maybe some mentoring, hagan will be fine. Now afterthis year, if he is not productive, then we can think about trading or releasing him. Lets give him a fair chance. 2 years in the Nfl on the Dolphins no less the last 2 years is not ample time to evaluate hagan.

Hopefully John Beck, Ted Ginn, and Derek Hagan have been doing some off-season work together! Well, at least I know Beck and Ginn have.

Hagan is in a tough position, he's a young guy, part of the old regime that wasn't that good and he's going to have to prove himself all over again. He's always been knocked for dropping too many balls so he's going to have to work on that to keep his job. It's not like he's had a great passing offense to play in not to mention the fact that the qb changes every five minutes on this team since he's been here.

A WR who has to learn to CATCH THE BALL has no business being employed in the NFL!!!!!!!!!!!
