At 5-3, the Dolphins have as good or better a record than most anyone thought we would have at this point, and on track to the 10 wins, which most believe it will take to make the playoffs.

Getting those 5 more wins will be no easy task with or second half schedule but, the way the team is now playing makes me a believer we can do it.

Beat the Jets twice. Beat the Vikings. Beat the Ravens and Bills at home. That should be good enough. If the Fins steal a victory at the Lions, Pats or Broncos, then this becomes a whole different conversation.

Right now it feels like they WILL get to 10-6 at least. We are playing better football than the 1st half of season, which produced the 5-3 we sit at now. The only thing is i'm not convinced 10-6 is enough to secure a playoff spot this year, so 11-5 would be more like it, and not that far-fetched.

We have a really tough stretch coming up here. Detroit, Buffalo, Denver. If we win 2 out of 3, we ARE going to the playoffs. If we win 1 out of the 3, I still think we're okay.

Lots of 5-3 teams right now, but that will level out when the inter-division games get played in December. I think 10 wins gets us in, and I think winning 5 more games is a real possibility for us.

I cannot see us folding late with this team as we did last year.

if that one win were to come vs. Buffalo, i'd agree. a win vs. Detroit and losses to Buffalo and Denver wouldn't cut it IMO.

I would favor you in 2 of the 3, you should beat Det and Buf. doesn't mean you will but you should.

11-5 Division Champs

NE isn't losing more than 1-2 more so you'd need to be at least 12-4 to win the division.

I agree, 12 wins to take division. We're playing for wc. Jets will do there best to spoil us just like last year. Winning two in a matter of weeks from a huge division rival will be very tough. I think we take 1 out of 2 from Jets and we must beat the Bills.

I think a win vs Detroit will be a big help in beating Buff. Coming home 6-3 will pump up the fans and team for a short week Thursday night game.

win the next 2 and were in business. 7-3 with confidence through the roof and who knows what happens at Denver. their defense is vastly overrated honestly.
Right now, all I can think about is the Motor City- I expect a win. Don't want ouyr guys getting discouraged when Calvin catches a jump ball for 50 yards in double coverage. I expect a couple broken plays to big to Calvin, but we will stop the run, and hit Stafford

I've commented before that most likely 11-5 will be necessary to ensure a playoff birth.

I'll also make a bold statement: the home game against the Vikings will be the Dolphins most difficult remaining home game. Why? Does anyone realize that the Vikings were one play away from winning at Buffalo and being a 5-4 wildcard contender themselves? Does anyone realize the Vikings are leading the league in sacks? And Bridgewater will have 5 more games of experience under his wing. Also, imagine the Dolphins at 9-5 entering that game. The Vikings game is then the classic "trap" game. Will the Dolphins be able to handle prosperity?

I know the Ravens and Bills have our number of late. But the Ravens seem in decline and the Bills running game is decimated. I expect the Dolphins to be well prepared for those two opponents.

I assume that 12-4 record requires a win @New England in order to win the division. Otherwise we lose a tiebreaker to New England if they share identical records.
