Gibran was on the Eliot in the Morning show here in the nation's capital today. He talked a little about the DC TG situation and said both guys were very professional when dealing with each other. He also talked about his football camp and the money he donates to cancer research. Additionally, he mentioned how much it sucked that his NFLE success never translated into getting a chance at the Big Show. Seemed like a really cool guy.

Bah! I went to work early today and missed it!! >< Truth be told, Eliot's been a bit slow lately, I've been listening to more Mickey and Amelia when not popping in a CD.

I'm a little surprised by the conviction that the coaches have about Hamdan. I think he could end up the #3 QB in 2008.

I'll listen to DC101 only for Eliot, but I'll tune to 98 Rock if I want to hear some decent music. At first I didn't know who was coming on because he called him (JAH-Brahn) which is I guess how you pronounce his name. He's auctioning away some Dolphin jerseys at one of his events coming up in the DC area later this month, maybe they will list when and where at eitmonline later today or on Gibran's website...

I'm a bit of a conspirator theory believer. Here's my latest delusion. Lemon is showcased through pre-season and if he does excel than he is quietly put on the block for a 2008 draft pick.

We are then left with TG as the starter, JB as the soon to be starter and Gibran as 3rd string plus we end up with an added draft pick.

Thank you nurse, I will take my medicine now!

LMAO! Nice! I agree, sounds like a good deal! I DO NOT like Lemon on our team... I don't think he really showed anything special last year. He's another Ray Lucas/AJ Feeley type of player, can show a little talent but not even close to starter material...

Gibran sounded really intelligent which is something you probably look for in a 3rd stringer who works mainly as a glorified QB assistant.

AJ Feeley and Ray Lucas, man that is harsh. I don't think he deserves that kind of criticism. Nobody is saying he is going to start for us he is just a developmental project talent. I don't understand what he did to get all the harsh criticism. The guys hasn't even played enough to say how good or bad he is. He is definitely no Ray Lucas - I have never seen an NFL QB worse than him.

That's cool...I remember reading that he was from the area when we signed him. Although I don't know how you listen to Elliot in the morning...thank god I have sirius radio.

I can't really buy it. Lemon will be an unrestricted free agent year. Unless he's willing to sign a multi-year deal as a part of a trade (he refused to sign one with the Dolphins so he could test the free agent market next year), no team is going to give up a draft pick for a one year backup.

After 1 1/2 games you have enough confidence in your evaluation to state this?

How about answering this again when he plays a season.... not that he'll get that chance any time soon (unless there's an injury).

You know that graphic I post everytime someone makes a post that makes absolutely no sense? Now it's for you:

We're not trading Lemon - we're keeping him as backup for a year and then letting him go so that he can have a chance to succeed, and we'll have a chance at a nice supplemental pick.

More to the point, I suppose, is a serious question I have to ask you about your pessimism. I can understand being wary, but honestly - you don't like Culpepper. You don't like Green. You don't like Lemon, Beck, or Hamdan. Who, pray tell, on the Dolphins roster do you like? I've seen Jets fans in here act like less of a jerk than you have been lately. Your reply to this topic was completely out of order.

I think he's referring to us trading a draft pick (and Feeley) originally FOR Cleo Lemon a couple of years ago.
