He will either coach the Raiders next year or go back to Stanford. 100% not leaving not for Michigan, not for Miami. His wife won't make the move. So everyone can get this out of there head now. 0% chance of happening.

I speak with someone who coached a 49ers assistant in college multiple times a week. You're ****ing high if you think he is going to move 3,000 miles to coach the Dolphins

You know a guy who knows a 49ers assistant... someone who Jim Harbaugh has definitely shared his plans and thoughts about potentially coaching the Dolphins with. I'm trying to imagine that scenario. "Hey, Bobby." "Uh, yes, coach?" "You know I would never coach the Dolphins right?" "Uh... okay." And that's even if you're on the up and up. Yup. Seals it for me.

Speaking of which, I know a guy who went to school with Dan Marino's son, and he says Marino thinks that Dan Quinn eats his pets. So you can forget about that too. Trust me.

As long as Joe is not the coach by 100% chance, I am fine.

It has nothing to do with the Dolphins. His wife isn't leaving the bay. End of discussion.

Sparano would have kicked that FG early and fist pumped like a boss and gone to OT.

Why do you think he tuned the job down in the first place??

A lot of Miami's problems you can point at Jeff Ireland, this however is not one of those.

Replacing Joe is an "all of the above" approach for me. Plenty on names with intellectual minds that come as proven leaders of men. Harbaugh is one, but there are a slew of others.

Why would Harbaugh take the job this time around? This team isn't any better than they were the first time.....

So your friend knows his wife, too? How delightfully gauche.

Okay, i was going to continue posting amusing pictures indirectly answering your questions, but im just going to skip to the end and list the reasons why your off.

1) Harbaugh is currently in a stare down with the 49'ers over a contract extension. He wants to get paid and they dont want to pay him. They are waiting for each side to blink. Telling a lowly assistant his plans kind thwarts that poker game, no?

2) Raiders are probably moving. Forgot about that, didnt you? The Raiders have tried to negotiation with the city of Oakland on multiple occasions and have been shot down every single time. Davis recently told the press he was giving them one more chance. Seeing as how they shot him down...oh, 4, maybe 5 times already, how do you think this one will go? Its not like the Raiders are winning. San Antonio hasnt even hidden the fact they want the Raiders to move there, and Davis has business ties to that area.

3) Families dont move with players/coaches all the time. Sean Payton's family moved back to Texas not too long ago, didnt stop him from signing an extension with the Saints. Stephen Ross walks into Harbaugh's house and plops +$25 million guaranteed dollars on the table for 3-4 years work, you think his wife isnt going to raise an eyebrow? His youngest child is now a few years old and, presumably, will be starting school shortly if they arent already in there. Harbaugh would still get to be home a few times a week, most of the summer, and some holidays/events.

4) Harbaugh, a former quarterback who got tossed around the league, knows the value of a steady job and guaranteed money. He knows if you dont collect it now you might never. He was willing to take less money to stay home to be with his new born child, have a more talented roster, and work with the people he wanted to. Now, his child is older, he isnt getting paid, and he is growing to despise the people hes worked with. Sounds like a opportunity to me.

5) No Dolphins fan should ever believe a coach when they say they "will never take the _____ job". Period.

People act as if Sarah Harbaugh has lived all her life in the Bay Area and if she leaves there it will sap her life essence and she'll die.

This is somebody who grew up in a St. Louis suburb and was living in Las Vegas when she met Harbaugh. In 2006. They were married in 2008 when he was still coach at the University of San Diego, and not that long after he took the job at Stanford. Six years ago. Six.

But suddenly she could never leave there. Never ever. No way no how. Because 49ers assistants say so.
