Hard to argue the state of the Dolphins. Check out the article here.

http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/sports/football/15876720.htm

We have our playoff games blacked out due to atendance. Where else does that happen. 21 teams have been to the Superbowl since us. Read the article and then fry the negative people here that have lost patience if you like, but remember there is a reason for it. And as a football fan, eventually you have to get pissed off when you watch your team play crappy ball and go nowhere year after year.

I am sure there are plenty who will say, get a new team, or you are not a real fan. I would suggest the mad people are the real fans, you know the ones with a long history or patience. If you are younger, see if your patience will last another 33 years before you compare.

come august i think this entire site will be thrilled with the team we have. my only question with the team is who will be our qb. if we have the right answer to that we'll make a run at the playoffs next year

I never know with the Lemons, Haurds, Sages, etc if they are real backups we are developing or just insurance. Regardless of what we do I wish we would have a serious back up or #2. We do now assuming DC is going to get better. I am not holding my breath. I say draft either a QB or LT.

Great article. Marlins have 2 world series and Miami Heat with them being world Champs (or even the Panthers going to the Stanley Cup) . I would give all that up to see the Dolphins go to the Super Bowl and get a ring. Lots of good times watching the games, watching our team go to the playoffs every year under Shula. I would love to see even the Playoffs come into view for the Dolphins once again.
I lived in south Florida from 1988-2005 and always was big into going to Joe Robbies Stadium (Pro Player Staduim thanks to Wayne Huizinga). Dan Marino was 100% effort all the time when he was on the field. Dan the man should have a ring on his finger.

Excellent post...The thing that gets me the most about losing is the fact that our ownership does not seem to care. People talk smack about Jerry Jones & Al Davis but its not unusual to see them at games even when things look bad ( Oakland ) prowling the sidelines & being involved. I wonder if Wayne really cares that we are the worst team in the league.

If Huizenga didn't care about our team winning or losing would he have paid Saban one of the highest salary coaching contracts in the league? Would he have the largest and most expensive coaching staff in the league? Would he have spent $9 million just for a practice bubble? Would he be putting $40 million in improvements into the stadium? Get real, just because he is not a high profile owner like Jerry Jones, doesn't mean he doesn't care! You people amaze me with your selfish accusations. As if you were the only fan who cared, give me a break!

Huizenga can take some blame. And "perhaps" he doesn't care like some of us regular people. It is the highlight of our week and we wait all offseason. He has many things to concern himself with. Of course he cares, as Saban would say "he cares a lot relative to the various things going on in his life".

He is to tolerant with somethings. Jerry J would never be accused of that.

u know last off-season everyone said we were superbowl bound with Culpepper. We used to have Damon Huard, Sage Rosenfels, Heath Evans, etc...now look at them, they are proving to be great. maybe its just our coaching. We HAVE the players...we just arent...winning.

its pathetic how long its really been.....wow

At least we've won some. Think of the teams that haven't. The saints up until like 6 years ago hadn't even one a playoff game. Considering all that, I don't think Miami has a lot to complain about considering. I've never even seen us in a Super Bowl, but I have faith we'll get there. I don't think it's pathetic at all. It's not easy to get to or win the super bowl.

You can't say Evans is proving to be great. I'll give you solid, but not great.

Huard was let go, because we had Fiedler. Who in his own right was great, look at his winning percentage.

Rosenfels came in in mop up duty. Just like he did against the Bills, except he won that game. He's not great by any stretch.
