the draft is really hard to predict with all of the QB floating around. if all of the QBs ( carr, green,culpepper,harrington,bledsoe...) are landed by teams in need of QBs, (oak, det, clev...) then the QBS might drop to miami. I will try to predict one though. Miami trades 7th for green, cuts culpepper or trades to raiders for pick ( oak is looking into him). A veteran would go to minn, who needs a guy to teach jackson, who is the guy of the future for them, like carr or bledsoe. browns will take AP. det probably will take quinn, russel or thomas, so it isnt too far fetched for miami to get quinn or russel.

I'd say the chances of either Quinn or Russell sliding to us are still pretty slim even with all the QB's suddenly available. It seems that we are the only team interested in Trent Green, so I doubt he'll go anywhere besides Miami if he left KC. As for David Carr, he will definitely draw interest from the teams that need QB's and draft ahead of us. However, you have to keep in mind that teams like Oakland, Cleveland and Minnesota pretty much know that at least one of the top QB's will likely be available to them. So even though they may want Carr, it still depends on how much they like these prospects. I doubt that any of them would acquire Carr and still spend a first rounder on a QB.

ya i know carr will go somewhere, probably one of the teams ahead of us cuz them are the major teams that need QBs. so if they take carr then thay WONT draft a QB with first and leaves one for miami.

I'm afraid our chances of landing one of the top two QBs at #9 aren't very good no matter whether the teams in front of us need a QB or not.

Here's why: There are 23 other teams besides Miami and the eight in front of us. Any one of those other teams could trade in front of us with a team in the top eight to get a "franchise QB"; Quinn or Russell won't just fall to #9 because a team in front of us doesn't need one of them as much as we do. They could both end up going to teams that haven't even been linked to them as of yet. Way too early to tell, but we won't be assured of getting one of them unless we move up to #2.

that is why i said it is too hard to predict. i would love to move up to #2, but i dont see us taking quinn at number 2. we couldnt pass on calvin johnson if oak take russell. we would be able to take (probably not staton cuz we would have to trade away rd 2 pick/s) maybe BYU QB or Stanford or a QB in late rds. but then we would still have the line and CB to get.

ill take a back rub to unload Pep...To get rid of him and his hefty pay take anything.
