Let's hope so!! I really like Kevin, not only as a player, but he's a real stand up guy, and a positive influence to those around him.

im down for that but i wnat our young guys to start so i wont be sad.

good he is a leader on that defense, I know we would still have Taylor and Thomas as leaders but you can never have too many. and with us losing David Bowens most likely we need him for depth if not for any other reason.

this is why we need a leader on offense, the defense has 3 leaders maybe more and thats helps them play like a top defense. the offense doesn't have any leaders, you can't lead a team if your McMichael or Chambers because leaders have to be consistent. it's hard to respect/look up to a guy who doesn't play well consistently

I'd rather spend the money on a few younger players. I'd like to see Rod Wright,Roth, and Holiday rotating on the left side with Manny Wright and Fred Evans on the other side. Evans more on rushing downs and Manny on passing downs. I would cut Wilkinson as well and keep Vickerson and Fifita for depth as well as drafting a defensive lineman on the second day.

I,too, hope he stays and i think that he will. I just think it will help this team a lot to keep the same personal in Capers system. As mentioned earlier, he is a great leader and I think that is valueble beyond his on field production. Also if we pick up a Branch or Okoye he would be a great mentor.

I love roth but not at the cost of losing Kevin Carter.

Of course he's going to say he wants to stay. He is only planning on playing another couple years and why pick up and move, if you can stay where you are. Problem is, if he thinks he's worth more than we're willing to pay, it won't matter how bad he wants to stay. Will come down to the almighty dollar. How much he and his agent think he's worth vs. how bad we want to keep him. I really wouldn't get your hopes up too high guys.

I agree to a point, but think that since he's been here 13 seasons, he would either stick it out at a lesser price because he lives here and is connected to the community here, OR he would just figure it's a good time to call it quits altogether. If it were me, I'd stick it out, but then again, I'm such a Fin Fan, I'd pay them to play for Miami

I hear ya! Me too. But you have to remember, it's a business to most of these guys. After all, they've got a family to feed (at least that's what the high priced guys keep saying). I think he'll stay if there is a somewhat close middle ground both sides can find. Hopefully they can find it soon, as things will get crazy in the next 24 hrs.

I feel the same way. I think its a win/win situation for us. We either keep a solid veteran with great character, or we cut him and give our younger players a chance while also making some cap room. Either way I'm not gonna complain.

....I don't know how I'd be as a player in the NFL after 13yrs.... but wouldn't they understand the big payday's are behind them now? Play because you love the game, and still make some great money!?!?!....
